According to its own statements and advertising, Gportal now also has mod support via Steam Workshop for rented servers.
According to Gportal, however, you can only actively use a single mod and it would be due to devs that it is not possible to use multiple mods as in solo/co-op.

Is it really Gportal or the devs?

The game is great, but if it wants to appeal to a wide audience in the long term and, above all, keep it, I think it needs good mod support and servers on which mods work.

You can like mods or not, the fact is that they offer almost unlimited scope to keep a game interesting.
The best example of this is Skyrim.
