Excavation pit help

Where do you put these things if you cant build near mines?

There are many places on the map where sufficient deposits of certain metals are compactly located.
A pit is placed in the center of such places or nearby. It has a fairly large radius - 60 meters.
This is how I currently mine copper and tin. But I have no doubt that there are similar places for iron, sulfur and other materials.

Explore and you will find many such places.

You put them near Open ore pits, like tin, copper, stone, meteorite etc..
it acts kind of like bonfire, it has radius, inside of it, assigned tribe member will harvest stuff.. however, when it gets full it wont work any more, therefore you need extra chests nearby or manually empty them.

I love the game but this is a bad design in my opinion, please keep in mind this game is EA and yes this is my opinion so take it how u want but this is a terrible design, it barely works in Solo player because you cant build near mines and in both solo and multi u cant leave it alone ur tribesmen is in danger of being kidnapped, i think they should change it to you can put it anywhere and the tribesmen literally goes into a generated hole under the building and pulls ore out very very slowly

The "Real" mines you get later, you take over mines and equip tribe member in there and enemies won't respawn. You have to make a CLAN/ TRIBE to be able to use them.

The other pits are mostly for stone, but they get small amount of gypsum, copper and tin in them too.
