Is there a dungeon under the Pyramid of the Sabertooth?
Is there a dungeon under the Pyramid of the Sabertooth?
I see a big door under that, but I can't open it, does anyone know how to open it?

No, just the area to get the loot. The dungeon is behind in the River Valley and while it runs under the river and likely under the pyramid it has nothing to do with it.

The hardest part for me was the Plunderers at the entrance to get to the actual dungeon. Same for both of them. Once inside I find the machines easy compared to the Plunderers.

One benefit of the plunderers however is they drop a LOT of bandages (good ones) and the acid jars you need for the machines. Once inside your biggest issues will be:

Weight. Lots of stuff to carry out and you want to bring as much as you can with you. Potato soup is your friend, bring a mount to the entrance leave it inside by the entrance to load it up.

Second issue will be the traps. Pay attention to the floors.

Main boss can be tough. You need to ensure you go in with Gold/Red Bronze gear. Have buffs, all 4 if you have saved the "good stuff" (3 food buffs + liquor). You should have looted enough from Villages if you ran through those a time or 10.

Killing the regular machines is super easy. Make sure you bring a Purple or better Bronze Hammer. Hit it with Acid Jar, smash it a time or two with your hammer = Dead machine. Typically drop 3 metal parts. Elites and Bosses drop more and you'll find lots of chests with Coal and other nice things in them.

Yeah like leonnedr said the hardest part is getting to the dungeon. Bunch of freaking plunderers along with a couple of elite ones. Once you get inside the dungeon its stupid easy with a hammer or gauntlets for blunt damage.

I use a Bronze Longbow/Greatbow? on the Plunderers. Pick off 2/3 of them without having to do meele. Elites always have a ranged attack I let them stay at ranged and head shoot them dead in about 4 to 5 hits. Stay at range with the Elite Plunderers otherwise better be good at dodging because blocking will not be enough to stay alive.

Bring a jaguar with u so u can load him up with all the goodies u find in there but watch out for the traps, he might take some damage if you are not careful.

It's possible to just run past the plundered mobs and go straight to the area with the machines if you are on a mount

Btw, against the machines gauntlets work as well, in case you don't like the hammer.

Once your deep into it you end up right underneath the sabertooth pyramid. It seems like it should connect to it as an ease of access unlock but I can't find out where it is

The answer is both yes and no. There is a ruin below the sabertooth pyramid, but it's not connected to the pyramid.
When you reach the robots part of the Rift Valley Holy Ruin, if you open the map you will see that you are directly below of the pyramid, but they are not connected.
