"Too hard", I'm on level 20 and I am wondering now i'm going to make the move into to the map centre, what level I have to be to handle tigers, snakes, crocodiles, piranhas. What level to be for the outer reaches. Yeah too hard for level 20,
Ore spots maybe.
I didn't move to the second base location (upper left) until I was ready to kill the lvl15 Jaguar. If I did and died it wasn't because the game was too hard but it was because I was trying to take on content that I wasn't ready for yet.
Your character level and awareness level are two different things. The game judges you on your awareness level.
Awareness Strength: How powerful you are. You can gain Awareness Strength EXP through combat or work, and view the progress on the bottom of the HUD. A sufficient strong awareness can help you restore more Mask Nodes, as well as learn more knowledge and technology.
Here are some general tips;
-Don't Rush The Content
-Press 'O' level your charcter/tribemate Stats (ability)
-Press 'O' go to proficiencies level those up too (prof)
-Press 'O' go to mastery and you can change weapon skills (mastery)
-Press 'Y' level up all nodes, some nodes have more than one level
-Press alt to dodge, it's all about stamina management (learn enemy moves avoid)
-Get the best food buffs you can
-Spam bandages before, during, and after fights
-Some weapons work better in certain scenarios, if one isn't working try another
-Campfires allow respawn, bring with you before big fights, stock with fuel
-Bring extra armor and weapons on your mount, leave mount with campfire
-Stay rested often
-Don't go to areas you can't beat yet and die needlessly
-If you fail it doesn't mean you failed forever, learn something from it
-If all else fails change the world settings to an easier experience
-Consider playing with others
-Always wear the best gear and weapons you can
-Bring potions when you unlock
-Rarity is a huge deal in this game Tier IV and Tier V only, yellow/red
-Take out some enemies, run heal, re-engage with less enemies this time
-Dying is bad for your health, don't do it
Spear at the start of the game followed by duel blades being the best and or easiest weapons in the game. Hammers for the robots though. When you dodge roll in combat your character takes no damage.
After all that's said. As soon as you can get into mostly at least yellow leather gear and bone weapons. I would then take on the gators, anaconda, and jaguars. Don't forget to use all those items also in the butcher table where you can break down into more bones, fur if needed for rope, and gator skin for next tier leather you'll need. Going into awareness lvl25 aka bronze tier you can start taking on the barrack leader and first boss respectively.
Remember anything said here are just my tips and not gospel. Play however you desire and good luck.
Of course, this is baseline setting for official not your own server super harvest resource rates. You'll need at least a hundred or more hours for this mundane task of looting for crystals.
