This is both a complaint AND a warning for others.

The Debuff: Disease

Description: Continuous bleeding, bruising, cyanosis and necrosis.

The Effect: Five minute incubation time upon which the disease causes the player to cough until dead, unable to move or do anything while coughing. Dying does NOT get rid of the disease, but only resets the incubation timer, thus trapping the player in a never ending loop of pain and suffering until the disease is cured by consuming a "Special Healing Tinsane" which can be crafted using a Lv.2 Brewing Station. This disease is also contagious, able to pass on to the infected players tribesmen and other players, even if they are currently offline.

My Problem: I'm playing a private game with a friend, single player but set up a password for them to join so we can play together. We are both infected with this disease and don't have the cure, nor do we have the stuff to make the cure. We do have the crafting table needed and some of the easy to come by ingredients required, but with a constant being killed every five minutes by a disease that won't go away, finding/gathering the remaining ingredients is near impossible, and feels totally impossible. I feel like my only options are to start the entire game over, or constantly struggle to fight this timer while we try to source the remaining ingredients and make a cure. My entire tribe is dead, we keep dying... why is this disease permanent? I know it's a different game, but Ark has an option to toggle permanent diseases so if you die they go away, that should be an option here too, just saying. I even tried to see if there were any admin commands or anything that could help, but apparently those only work if you pay for a server... plus the commands didn't look like they were even in English, so I was a bit confused at first glance anyway, bottom line is there are no commands for single player, which doesn't make sense, and this disease makes it near impossible to play the game as I only get five minutes before dying repeatedly.

Solutions That I Tried:

1) Killing myself, but the disease stays no matter what. If you die by the disease, you respawn and get five minutes before it kills you again. I've tried using the Esc Menu and Respawn Button, didn't remove the disease. I jumped off a cliff and died, still have the disease. I let myself be eaten by an anaconda and even tried getting mauled by a bear, still have the disease. I drowned myself, but you guessed it, still have the disease.

2) Making the cure? Not an option for me. I don't have the ingredients to make it and with dying every five minutes and still having the disease, getting the ingredients feels like it's impossible. Travelling the map in search of ingredients for the cure, constantly placing a campfire every time the incubation timer nears its end, then dying and respawning at that campfire, picking it up and continuing... are you kidding me? Do you think I enjoy being punished and tortured?

3) Switching to a tribesman... the disease transferred too, so he also died, and everyone else got it and died too... wonderful.

4) Admin Commands, they don't work in single player, they are only for servers, so the only way that would work is if I rented a server with real world money, uploaded my save file, then used an admin command to either remove the disease or spawn the cure in, but it doesn't look like a command for wither of those even exists anyway while I was doing research and considering the idea of it.

5) Restarting the entire game and beginning my playthrough from scratch... I have not yet done this, but I feel like it's my only option at this point.

MY SUGGESTION TO THE DEVELOPERS: Add a setting so people in single player can toggle permanent diseases, that way dying will also remove the disease if they so chose it in their own solo or co-op game, or just make diseases not permanent in the first place.

MY SUGGESTION TO THE PLAYERS: Get a Lv.2 Brewing Station and craft a bunch of Special Healing Tinsanes specifically as soon as you get the chance, because if you don't and you get the disease first, it will ruin your game... or make it super difficult if you like that sort of thing and can stand it.

I know, that's why I said Admin Commands aren't an option.

All for having this fixed but just out of curiosity well this rampant can I make a Nurgle Lord then? Does this spread to enemy tribe memebers near my body perhaps thus allowing me to slowly kill off my enemies?

I don't know. It didn't seem to effect the villagers at first, but did eventually. I died a couple times at base just trying to see what I needed for a cure. It's just me and a friend doing co-op, so I'm not sure if this would be a viable PvP tactic of sorts. I also doubt it would do much, if anything, against NPC's not involved in a player tribe.

I'm not quite sure, I didn't notice it until it was far too late. But I was spending some time in the volcano area fighting lizards, then when I died I grabbed some backup gear and ran up to the desert on my jaguar where I died again, then I noticed the disease.

Edit: I'll admit, I was playing a bit wreckless when it happened, so I can't be sure where I got it from, sadly.

I have not experienced this yet. Nor do I have a direct answer for you. A few things to note though, things I would do if I were you;

cntrl+A copies all and cntrl+C copies and cntrl+V pastes
In-game hit -esc- and use the REPORT button, copy this there.
Go to the official discord and ask if anyone there has an answer to this as well as reporting.

So this is what early access is about, finding bugs of the likes like this. This sounds like a game breaking bug. Sorry you are experiencing it but I am glad you found it. Maybe someone in the official discord can help get you out of the jam. Worst case scenario you found the game breaking bug and if you report it properly we can get it fixed before it spreads to others. ohh I had to say it like that bwuahaha.

Is there a number on your character that annotates this poison? Taking this medicine corrects some of this number or no? If you took enough of the lower could it heal you or has no effect?

It's not a bug? It's a illness the game give you, I already have the lesser medicine and he should have had the other one. Careless in this game = dead.

If it is repeating every five minutes and renders the game unplayable even past death, seems like a game breaking bug to me, no? Can the lesser one heal you but just for less, so you would need more of them?

It could be a game breaking bug, the devs are definitely not stupid so I doubt that they purposefully programmed it this way as it makes the game unplayable in to anyone without the cure or a way to make it. In one of the Q&A's they did, they mentioned the disease but only said that they made it "not as devastating" and nothing else. So, I don't know. I'm going to attempt to get on again later today and if the problem still persists, I shall attempt to contact the devs via discord and see about getting it fixed, or at the very least to let them know about it if they don't already.

Me and my Jag got radiation sickness yesterday, I had to take several medicines for it to go away, so yeah.
