Breeding alpacas and llamas

First off, are we able to breed alpacas/llamas? I've looked online and all the breeding refers me back to the ones with actual breeding pens i.e. turkeys/capybaras/parrots. Secondly, if we can breed alpacas/llamas how do we go about doing so? I've tried building them a pen out of fencing, but so far no dice. If you have managed to breed them, what does your pen setup look like? Thanks in advance!

You can only breed turkeys and capybaras.

You can breed parrots on the parrot rack, which can be crafted on the building workshop.

You can also capture some monkeys and they will bring you fruits.

No, not at the moment, but they do have genders, so maybe in the future perhaps.

How?

I have three parrots - 1 female and 2 males. I placed the racks nearby, there is water, there is food. But they don't mate. I even placed extra racks nearby. How to make them breed?

To be fair, the game states that the rack is for parrot breeding. It's not like they're just making assumptions and are flat-out wrong. The game misled them into thinking the feature was functional. I don't know why you're trying to call them out for taking what the game presented as up-to date-information and sharing it with someone asking a relevant question. Being misinformed is not a character flaw or something, dude.

I haven't seen any information about these being non-functional. Just a few dev posts discussing about how we can breed animals.

I got myself 4 parrots, put them in the same room, let them fly around and all kinds of shenanigans. No breeding, and they still call out for mates when they have them right next to them.
At least my farmer scrub feed them and they warn me about invasions.

You have no point. Someone read something in the game, believed it was an active feature, and passed that information on without realizing it wasn't. Their information isn't "stupid," it's correct, just premature. You're insulting people as being "stupid" for the game's failing of not mentioning the feature isn't active. Your behavior suggests you go around searching for any reason to feel start fights and feel intellectually superior and make others feel bad for NO reason whatsoever. Congratulations on being THAT kind of a person.

I can understand why he was agitated, I also am sick of reading someone ask the question and I have just to read 14 pages of people typing is what they think and what it might be. The question did not ask for there opinion or what they think it may be, it asked if or how to do something. If you do not have the facts and know for 100% sure just move on and don't make a post because we do care about what you might think or what it could be we want to know what it is. That is why we asked the question. Not hey what do you think it could be?
