Gportal problems

Does anybody recommend a good Server provider That could substitute for Gportal? I'm having a lot of problems with heavy lag And the server not keeping up With the combat Speed of the spears. The game for me is unplayable. Is it just me or the spear? And shield level 50 NPC Dishes out way too much damage output. I couldn't.

aside from the fact that gportal has always been trash....

why do you assume it is server lag and not local video/cpu lag/ settings?
do you have this issue on other weapons?
other servers?
single player?

if you determine that it is network lag try hosting your own dedicated server if that is an option, I do and have 0 issues with any aspect of performance.

well thats kinda gportal in a nut shell for you and is the primary reason i do not play scum right now, no dedicated servers without using hosting services. I run all of my own game servers and rarely ever does anyone have performance issues. then again i'm not spinning up low resource vms to run them...

if you have the option, means, and ways try running your own dedicated server for soulmask. i have had no issues with performance for me or my buddies in other states

PS if you have the hardware and knowledge to do it, its free too...

If you can't host it on your own hardware or don't have a friend that can you should look at gamehostbros for a soulmask dedicated server, performance has been great since launch.

Sorry for necro but this was the first google result.

I´m experiencing heavy server lags if someone is destroying or deconstructing buildings. I´m talking abou 3-5 second rubberbanding and chests not opening etc. Has anyone similar problems perhaps even not on gPortal? They already moved the server to a different hardware but that did not fix the problem.

If you're asking for help on how to fix issues with g portal here, this is not the place to do it. They have their own support pages and you should probably reach out there if you need help with it. If you're looking for alternative solutions for hosting your own server, that however might be a little bit more feasible. Assuming it's the ladder and not the former. The first thing I would do would be to look at what's happening when you see these lag spikes on your server. Assuming you are hosting your own and see what resources being eaten we're spiking during that process then resolve that accordingly.

If you do not see resource spikes and the issue persists and you are hosting your own server and you do regular reboots for record, I do mine once everyday. Then it could be engine issues and likely no amount of hardware is going to make it better if it is unoptimized.
