Volcano Mechanical Core Y LVL 55 Help

I'm looking for some advice for the Holy Ruins Volcano dungeon and boss damage. My level 50 character has buffed Fog Frog set and Mechanical Steel hammers for the robots. I made it to the boss easily (sub 20min). I was hitting the Elites for around 1100 normal strike damage. I am now at the final boss (Mechanical Core Y LVL 55) and my normal strike damage is only 450. I burned through one Mech Steel hammer and the boss was only at around 70% HP. Is there some hidden mechanic for this boss I'm missing?

Try to time your attacks. That boss has an attack mode that once done he is for a very short time like 1 sec out of stamina I suppoe it is, Strike at that moment and then avoid his attacks again. You have to kind judge the regular attack and jump in and out of reach until he does his brutal attack again then strike hard and fast. when you jump back out of range hit him with the corrosive bomb thingies you can collect a ton pf them from the plunderers.
It is a bit of a slog but doable.
