Best Way to Move new Recruits to Base
So i got a Base at the Shores.... The Baracks and such are 2-3km away from my Base.
Is there a better way as to Carry a New Recruit back to base? Because this is extremly slow tbh.... Espacialy if you got a Full Inventory aswell and reach the Weight Limit Cap.

Thanks for your Helps

Take a bed with you. Or better yet, three of them.

And then? I still need to bring them Back to my Base by Hand and all?? Sure i can Recruit them there, so they will walk with me, which is marginaly faster. But there is no other Way?

Like Strap them to an Alpaka Back, a Cart which i can draw or something? ^^

In the early game, carrying them can indeed take a while and it is really hard to avoid having to fight. I am searching for particular stats and found that the most effective way for me was to drop a bonfire near the barracks; defer a "Master" tribesman; carry them to the bonfire; bandage them; feed the two soups; add a couple of food items to their inventory; and repeat. Once I get about a dozen, the first ones get to 500 and I can check their stats and decide to keep them or not. when I get what I want, we all just walk back to the base.

I will usually leave a tribesman to watch over the fire and the comatose candidates and to carry the building components to the site and back.

As you build up a tribe, you get more selective about what you will keep and it takes a lot of rejects before you get what you want. Easier to do that in bulk near the barracks.

You can also just leave the comatose tribesman where they fell, feed and bandage them and they will gain recognition points to 500 there. But that can be a problem when the barracks respawns.

The other options are to use the llama saddle extension or to place portals and carry them through that way.

Llama is your friend, you are fast enough with one to make the trip several times.

To buy you more time make a small camp, place them all inside till you can recrute them.
Weed out the ones you do not want and let the rest follow you on their own feet :)

if you really hate the mechanic, disable it in the settings, you can raise recognition to the point where you can leave them on the ground for a minute and then press recruit from there, you can do this to a game in progress, you will still only be able to CARRY one of them as a follower with you (meaning one person per raid is the gain).

my current work around is to use the tribe menu to set them to "deploy" remotely (when you're within range, which is 160 for me i think) you can set "deploy" from the tribe menu, and then press F2 for "follow me" and then they'll teleport to you, ferry them to about the same distance from your bonefire and press F8 to end deployment), if you use the same settings (as i do) you basically RAID AN ENTIRE BASE, recruit everyone you can, and then sift through, finding the suitable ones and shuttling them, i'm about 600m from the flint tribe (on a lake to the west) so i only get to travel about 350m with each one (they'll follow at your riding speed on an alpaca through the power of teleport on a "follow me" command) so you get to do this fairly quickly - oh and while you're at it, load those buggers with weight, they'll sort it to the proper chests when they arrive anyway

I dont dislike the Idea perse. Just the way its Implemented a little bit.

Another Game, Myth of Empire, did something Similar. You still needed to "Tame" them 1 by 1 or rather Bring them Back to your Base.... But you had some Option to do so in "Bulk".
For Example there was a Cariage, which could be Drawn by your Riding-Animal.
On the Cariage itself you could either Place One "KO" Recruit (there was the Risk of Him awake and run away or Attack you again) on, or you could take several of your Tribesmen with them (they sat down as a Group of 4 back on the Carriage, in general you wear able to let bigger Groups of NPC Follow you, several Animals and Warrior, which was really usefull for Stuff like Relocating Bases, Farming, Raiding/Fighting Enemy Camps AI and PC).

On Top of that Carriage you later on could install a Cage (making the Cariage "useless" for NPC Transportation) but allowing you to take, i believe it was, up to 3 Prisoner with you. They couldnt escape from the Cage (Still could get Awake and aggro against you) so you could bring them Back to your Base.

I believe Soulmask, which uses a Tribe System and aims for us to get Bigger Groups of NPC in our Bases and farm the Perfect Buddy, and allows us to Keep Warrior with us, and so on... Would benefit a Great thing if they Expand on that.

I've been successful many times just placing the new comatose recruit in a safe spot and waiting (always plenty to do nearby) until I can get the recruit option menu. No bed, no fire; just force feed the unconscious some liquid food and a bandage and wait. When recruited (I've done this with up to 3 at time), check if you got a good one and have them follow back to base if they pass muster. My favorite spot early on is the salt camp on the beach, less chaotic than barracks.

Oops; when mounted, thus moving faster than walking, the followers will teleport to keep up with you.

dang it, I'll say it again, I was trying to destroy this game with useless information and comparing soulmask to other games.....my bad ☺
Keep those questions coming as it helps the game develop to it's full potential!

With the new update coming this week, there will likely be a bunch of interesting ways to move new recruits to our base faster with mods.

Yeah sure there is allways Mod Options at the End of Day. But i am someone who likes as much Options as possible Vanilla and to play a Complete Game like the Devs Envisioned it.
