Speed up smelting / crafting?

The crafting has been manageable so far.

But then I finally unlock bronze tier, go out and collect a full carry weight of tin and a full weight of copper.

Pop it in the smelter and set a tribesman to work on it. Says its gonna take damn near 30 minutes per metal. 30 to make all the tin ingots, 30 to make all the copper, and another 30 to combine em to bronze.

I'm sorry but I do not have the time to sit around waiting an hour and a half to progress in the game. And please don't tell me to make another furnace. If this is a game where imma have to make a Satisfactory / Factorio - esque acre-large production line to get my gear in a timely fashion, I may as well uninstall now because I those types of games just aren't for me.

Is there anything in the settings that can help with that? Cus I could've sworn I cranked the crafting speed up as high as it can go in the settings when I started.

Wellll there is a few thing to speed thing up ... First as you said you could make 2 others furnaces so that you have one for the tin, one for the Copper, one for the bronze all smelting at the same time (already down to 30 minutes instead of 1h30) But you can also get some crafters with higher Kin skill level/max level to speed thing up even faster. Nothing prevent you from hunting/mining while they work at the base.
