Stuck at iron age

Hello there.
I play in solo and don't get the following steps after iron age. I understand that the key is meteorites and I got a little from chests ... but how to defeat its icy elite gardians with iron gear ? Same for dungeons : to kill a 45+ boss is very difficult in iron gear.
Did I miss something in the game progression ? Thanks.

Explore a little. There are places you can find meteorites that you can handle with iron gear.

i would run up mine a bit then run off till i got enough to make the steel. mysterious metal chunk will also substitute meteorite. have a tribesman distract the mammoth while you mine.

Why a mammoth if there are several craters guarded by a weaker snow leopard? Kill it and farm the entire crater in peace.

Mysterious Metal Chunks from Ancient Dungeons are an option instead of Meteorite Ore. There is also the option of getting Ancient Armor from the Plateau Woodland Dungeon which requires level 40, 3 Green Crystals, 1 Yellow Crystal, and 300 Mask Energy. There is also the Barren Meadow Dungeon that drops Archaic Armor and requires level 50, 4 Green Crystals, 2 Yellow Crystals, 1 Dungeon Key, and 600 Mask Energy. Dungeon Keys requires taking out the main boss of the Fortresses from the Flint Tribe, Claw Tribe, or Fang Tribe.
