So me and my friend are new and we've put some hours in today and started building our base in the first zone of the game. We found out you can't get invasions here. If we put a bonfire in another zone will we get the invasion meter and get attacked here? thanks for reading.

Haven't made a second base yet but yes you, 'can', get invasions in other areas. In the starter zone, you can still get very annoying dog attacks. An admin can adjust the advanced settings as preferred. 'Advanced Settings' in sp local is located in the 'select game' screen. Outfit the tribe as best you can in preparation for difficult fights.

What triggers a Invasion I am on my second base and 20 hours in so far, Just found Copper

There is a place to look in your Tribe menu, it's on the far right bottom called Fever Meter. That meter fills up based on how much progress/activity is going on in your base. I think it can trigger anywhere after about 6 million.

Did not know that. I have most of my running around naked with bone weapons. There is nothing shown for starter area in tribe defense. Though I see the fever meter for my outposts. Is the animal attacks and kidnap completely at random in starter area?

Yeah, invasion was a bit messed up, a boss teleport ed past the gates and into the ground where they couldn't be hit, killed my followers that I had farmed over weeks. Just rough seeing all that work wasted on bugs.

Animal attacks and kidnapping seem to be random. Although, I believe the more you raid a nearby village, the more likely they will retaliate by coming to kidnap your tribesmen. You should always keep your tribesmen well armored and with good weapons, animal attacks like jaguars and bush dogs can happen if they wander into the wrong place at the wrong time. It seems safer to me if you keep about four tribesmen to do the normal gathering together, that way they can fight off whatever attacks them together.

just learned this today; i set a patrol thing and it has a choice to see the invasion temperature thing.
