Data update 3 unrepiared please repaired it and try again?
What is that mean ? i get this message when i try use the remodel hourglass icon! Tribesmen scan and copy

You need to defeat the Vajra Ape and activate its pyramid to be able to scan the data of Tribesmen and copy their data to the starting character. So the starting character has the same stats, traits, and proficiency caps as the scanned tribesman, but retains the appearance of the starting character.

Previously, defeating Vajra Ape and activating its temple unlocked the ability to use Base Portals, but the recent major update made base portals available for everyone that has a Mysterious Stone Table and the resources to craft a Portal and replaced it with Data Copying.

This is incorrect. I have deepscanned a tribe member and my initial character did not change at all.

You may have not followed all the steps:

Step 1: hit DNA button next to main character
Step 2: Select NPC you wish to take their traits, you must pay the costs listed. 500 energy, 100 green crystals, 30 blue, and 20 yellow was what was listed for me.
Step 3: Wait 30 minutes for the tribe member to be deep scanned
Step 4: Tap on the DNA icon again and select the deep scanned data and confirm the warning.

Note that once you deep scan and use the data you are no longer able to re enter the scanned tribe member's data into the tablet. The scanned member still exists but this would make reviving them impossible.;
