Best location to farm Chalcedony?

Mining crystals seems like a pretty low rate. What's the fastest way to get more?

You can do the jugle cave holy ruins located in the west between snow and volcano area.
Chests contain Jade which can be crafted into Chalcedony.

you can also go to the "pyramid" in the winter barb fort. There u find a mecha boss. In the same room are 6 chests wich contain some chalcedony.

I placed a portal near the fort and rush to the middle of the fort with a mount.

With the refining furnace you can also create Chalcedony.
