Tribesman wont work at Powered Refining Furnace because of insufficient motivation

Title. I just got into the powered machinery and want to make some steel weapons and armor. Got the windmill set up, connected to the refining furnace, got coking coal fuel in there. As far as I can tell everything is set up. Got my tribesman set up with managing crafting tables with a few different ones but the refining furnace is at the top of the list. put the work order in the furnace but the guy wont work it due to insufficient motivation, his recognition if 1000 and mood is around 833. Now what? He is working his other tables just fine.

Not sure, but liquor them boys up. Nothing wrong with some fruit wine and powered furnaces.

Is the windmill connected to anything else? Had the windmill connected to the Refining Furnance and Cutting Machine and got the same message. Disconnected the Cutting Machine and the Refining Furnace worked fine.

Motivation is lack of power

If you stack 2 windmills on top of each other then place the blade i got enough for 3 machines.

Have 2 windmills, each one is connected to 2 machines. When I built the first one I connected 3 machines to it but when I connected the 3rd it said not enough power. So i built the second windmill and did not get a lack of power message when I connected 2 machines. I will try using one windmill per machine. Can you stack 2 blades on a windmill?

Just noticed the power numbers when you hover over the windmill or the powered machines. Where I built, the windmills produce 180 power and the machines each use 100 power. Will windmills produce different power in different places? My main base is in the rain forest still.

yes the windmills have an altitude display when you place them.
i have a tall base and putting them on the roof gets you more power.

i dont know if there is a "sea level" altitude reader. ? i will have to place one on a mountain top in the snow biome and see what power it produces
