That said, I do think the crafting times are too slow, we sped them up on our server. Other then that I've not had many complaints. The crafting times would probably also be fine if we played on a dedicated server, we just only play in bursts when we can all play together, so raising the crafting speed so we don't have to wait around our entire playtime was a good choice for us.
that's the coupium pipe talking. i have 3k+ hours in Ark, 4k+ in conan, and 2k in FO76. i know a problem when i see one.
Calling it copium is supremely presumptuous, as is dismissing the opinions of others while assuming that yours is correct. It's an interesting observation, but your playtime in other games has no bearing on it whatsoever.
I've been playing the game since release and also used up the demo hours as well, and I've only just made my first iron ingot. At no point have I felt like I was wasting time, or not progressing. Quite the opposite, in fact - I've been milking it because I enjoy the gameplay, and I don't want to get to the "well that was cool, what now?" phase.
It's absolutely fine if the game's pace is not for you, but please don't assume that something is definitelively a problem just because you think it is. One size does not fit all... regardless of how many thousands of hours you've put into similar games.
most of these are speedruns on singleplayer where in 2 hours u could get to steel
i understand the perspective on the game taking long to play, but the process gotta be fun, theres a reason why the percentage is low and will stay low, if over time it'll rise to 30% i was wrong, but i think people are quitting due to unrewarding grind
But that's just it - there HAS been steady progress. At no point has it felt stagnant, stale, or otherwise boring in any way. I don't think it's an issue that has a definitive answer; it just comes down to the pace at which different people enjoy games. That's totally fine - the issue I have is not with that, but rather with referring to it as a problem, rather than a preference.
