No more 120s?
So my buddy and I are looking for tribesman with 120 in certain skills.
Mostlly hunters.
But there just are none anymore?? Like we deter 20 hunters, mostly only legendary and prefered masters.
Not only do they have good innate talents (titles) every 10th guy, but even if they talents are okay (no super good rolls) they never reach 120 in ONE skill?? Not even in something else then bow?

We got the feeling in the first barracks there were far more 120s, even among the green ones. We got porters with 3 120 weapon skills there.

But now we are in the barracks of the volcano area, deterring lvl 40+ and they are all crap

my 120s are not red ranks so idk maybe its more rare if they red rank, personally I dont care about having every tribesman red if they workers, im sure as hell not recruiting red rank harvesters and farmers...to each his own

why they can't be better is the question ! I have the lowest guis with 120+ in hammer , bow BUT none with legendary status .... and never get one with armory or weaponsmith with 120+

Yeah it kinda seems like complete rng at this point. My buddy just found 3 very good low level guys by just detering everyone and leveling the 5 who had potential.

I went only for red ones with high level so that I don't have to level them afterwards and they all rolled like ♥♥♥♥.

Red scales better, but doesn't really affect the max proficiency
In my tests Reds usually have more talents

Talents are more important than max proficiency in most cases.

Best to keep in mind for the ideal tribesmen is:
- Elite grade (red)
- Yellow shield talents as much and as high as possible (best ones a unique tribe talent and their proficiency talent both lvl 3)
- Also have a high max proficiency for the things you want them to be good at

Novice, Master and Skilled usually doesn't matter much, it only affect their current level in their proficiency but not the max. A novice can have a higher max proficiency compared to Master or skilled. But the master would start out higher in those stats.

Don't let the red hexagon talents affect your decision to keep or not keep a tribesmen too much, once you level them up they can lose a bad one each 5 levels and learn a positive one each 10 levels. But its RNG.

Once you recognized a tribes person the talent growth is set, dying and remodeling doesn't change the talents once you level them up. They would grow exactly the same, so don't waste your time on it.
Worker is hard to find, better looks for those whom have titles like advance Craftsman or something(3~4 in each stronghold), armor and weapon smith are most important since they have proficiency, which is almost guarantee for making gold and red gear.
And about fighters, a tricky way is just to let them use skills, for example if a tribesman can use continuous arrow shot, or greatsword slide and spear round attack, it is most likely they got 120 on bow/greatsword/spear.

The better their total perks/traits are at the time you first find them, the LOWER their max skill caps will be. Find low to mid level tribesman with a lot of low tier negative perks that you can ignore, work around, or won't use and you'll find a LOT more 120's. As you level them up they'll drop bad perks and gain new good ones. That makes them stronger in the end than what you'll get on high level tames with their good starting perks nerfing their skill caps, and almost no opportunity to change their perk balance. Don't worry about what color their diamond icon is, it's a reflection of their 'everything' at that time, but it gets super deceptive when they're high level with mostly good perks and skill points spread all over the place and not one of them over 120.
