Tips after 250 hours as Solo player in Official server.

Some few tips to make things easier:

1. Add mods on armor, especially def mod, they add insane amount of defensive, for bronze they will add +30 def for iron they will add +60 def.

2. Make mods for your weapon as well. Bleeding mode for dual-blades are very powerful.

3. Cook Fried Taco and Fried Pumpkin Ring. They will add +20 def and 100% stamina recovery. So in total with def mods you will have +80 def! That's insane!.

4. Cook Smoked Ham it will add +10 attack and +200 health.

5. Boil eggs. You can eat eggs to restore 100 health. And the good thing is that you can spam it. So for the same time you will heal more then with anything else. But don't forget good bandages. Grow aloe and cotton to make best bandages. Once you can craft Coagulation Cream or better and use it in bad situations like boss fights.

6. Get Companion with -60% damage taken and best is from Flint tribe with additional +9% def. My companion even stacks some debuffs on enemy after kills, so it's so easy. Equip him with best armor (with mods as well) give him shield and spear and set him to battle style defensive mode, so he will take hits like a champ and will hold shield at all times which further reduces damage taken. Especially with iron gear DEF mods 2 and food buffs he will be very good (but not against mechanical bosses, never tried though), he wont be doing much damage in defensive mode, but you will find much more time to heal and so on. If your companion is low set him on passive (F6) and run as far as you can to make him tp on you. If you die you can use your companion to respawn take your mount take your items and get out of there.

7. Get your self a Red tribesman close to or level 50 with some positive talents and Unyielding Determination class skill which means you can escape from being stunned. It's very helpful when you are in the middle of enemy and just got random stun, press a class skill and roll out.

8. Get Torch of Eternity Mask. After that mask you may not take your companion anymore since you won't die. But i still use my companion as additional storage or just respawn .

9. Iron gear is as easy to get as bronze, there is plenty easy spots for that, just go with your jaguar or alpaca and scan the map and you will find some spots that not even shown on the map (same with bronze) and for some of them you won't even need to fight anyone. You may need to deal with wolves but with your companion you should be able to manage that.

10. Get craftsman with 2 same proficiency growth for weapons and armor and at least 90 proficiency cap.

11. Once you get iron and craftsman then control him and first craft items that doesn't need quality, craft a lot of chainmails, wires, arrows and so on, up till that craftsman proficiency reaches 60 for bronze and 90 for iron. Up till level 60 learn proficiency talent for durability increase, once you in Iron and level 90 get iron gear quality increase.
Then you can start to craft armor and weapons. Before that don't forget to upgrade your mask to increase proficiency growth rate. My craftsman with mask get 3x proficiency exp.
Now i'm looking for new craftsman with level 120 cap for steel gear and gonna do same.

12. Read those tablets, they give you tons of tech points. But you can reset once in a while your tech points as well

13. Don't build walls in PVE, just equip your people with gear.

14. Last but not least. Get a monkey. They will bring you so much bananas, pineapples, fruits and nuts that you will not know where to put them but those items are very important. You will have tons of free cooking oil.

Small question: when you order a craftsman to craft gear on the bench, but don't control him, he shall not benefit from mask's experience gaining perks?

He will not get additional exp, i basically control till i reach cap. For bronze gear you want to control up to level 60-62, since after that exp drops significantly anyway if you only craft bronze gear.

I did this and the game is so, so much better.

That's true, just lag alone makes playing so much worse on official especially while fighting boss'es.

good tips and only thing i personally don't agree with is defense mods as i prefer not to lose -2% mov speed per mod (-8% speed for all 4 def/ -16% if adding DR mods aswell)
