Hello, I built winter protection from the tooth trunk. Can I go into the desert with the armor or do I have to build a new one?

No that's the radiation You need minimum 40% radiation protection

I have 40% and my morale goes away very quickly so I can hardly stay there

So top left requires Chill proof, 30-50% will clear everything except for mammoths. you want 100% chill proof and a lil cold resist to kill mammoth of doom.
Top right is Wastelands focus on radiation proof. you want about 30% proof and a 20 heat proof helps. also you want to keep tequalia and honey on you at all times. pop Honey often to reduce radiation.
Bottom left is volcano. this requires 30% heat proof on land. and you want about 80% or more to survive inside of the volcano. use food buffs and Heat proof legendary on all gear.
Iced coffee and ice cubes are very good here.
Middle of map at lvl 25 is called the hills. This place is filled with poison. you want to get a poison resistance gear set from the Fang Barracks located near south end of hills. also food and poison removal potions are a must have till you have full legendary fogfrog Iron set after killing rank2 of Fogfrog boss.
