For those trying to unlock flint/claw tribe costumes.

The game says you need to recruit a porter from that tribe and it means exactly that.
If you inspect a tribesman with q after unlocking the extra details function of the mask it will let you see everyones titles. Skilled Hunter/Skilled guard etc.. One of these titles is Porter. If you deter someone (dont need to recruit) with the porter title you unlock the recipe.
The recipe allows you to spend Tribe Dye and Tribe Cloth (Both dropped by trible bosses/chests to turn OTHER gear into trible gear, it is a purely cosmetic upgrade but you can turn even bronze armor into tribe gear, lets you look a little different atleast.

When you deter them it unlocks it like I said. Do both if it makes you feel better.

I got flint tribe porter,deterred her and recruited her but the flint tribe set is still locked.

deter the porter, you unlock -A- recipe from them, not all of the tribe's costumes, so you have to deter multiple porters from the same tribe. my first deterred porter only unlocked the Everyday Costume pieces.

also it requires Claw tribe dye and Claw Tribe basic cloth, which i cannot find the recipes for anywhere

Dye and cloth can be found in advanced chest somewhere in the tribe. There's also a chest next to the sacrifice altar that has good stuff... Breaking stuff has a low chance to drop some. I found both basic and common cloth (I think for the bronze level gear equivalent tribal gear) as well as dyes.

Only found Novice Porter and Novice Craftsman and both of them didn't work. If we require Porters and Craftsman instead of Novice Porters, then it could explain why people are having so much difficulty with this.

all i have found was a novice but i unlocked the Everyday costume from deterring him

Deterred and recruited a ton of the craftsman and porters... still locked. Obviously bugged.

Its a random chance from porters. There are 2 recipes a basic outfit and a combat outfit from each tribe. Took 8 porters to get them both.

i just recruited a skilled porter from the flint tribe and I cant learn it still, what am I doing wrong

The key here when I was reading the description is that you "MAY" unlock the recipe. It is not a sure thing. You do not need to recruit, just deter. For Claw, there are 2 armor sets. One you get from deterring a porter, and the other you get from deterring a craftsman. I got the set from deterring the craftsman, she was a master craftsman. I wonder if they are higher skilled the chance of you getting the recipe is higher? The documentation is not great on this, like other parts of the game lol, but this is what I experienced.

I didn't unlock this yet, how exactly can you transform bronze armor into tribe gear using the recipe?
