tribe paint and porters

does anyone know if tribe paint and the porters that the game says we learn the armors off of are in the game? im pretty loot happy and have not seen anything not a hunter/warrior/guard so far. melting down flint or claw gear does not give me any paint either.

btw this gear isnt just a graphical version. its stats are better. claw gear looks great!

Paint is in the game, but incredibly rare AFAIK since I had one drop from the Plunderer Ruins if I recall correctly in the previous demo and nothing during this demo. Crafting paint requires being level 35. Haven't seen any porters, but I have found a Flint Tribesman with a pickaxe in their inventory instead of the usual weapons. Although, I would assume that Porters would be more recognizable.

Use your lifescan+certain mask buff to "see/highlight" them if they have roles in enemy tribes or camps(mining, etc). E.g craftsman, leader, scout, etc,

You can find paint in the urns and containers in barbarian villages. Hit and destroy them with weapons to have the loot bags drop on the ground. Different tribes have given me different paint colors.

Yep, I too had been just looking at the nametag and was like "ok, wth are they?!". Need the mask node where you hold Q to zoom in and see more stats.

yaaaa, that was kinda what i said. i have ONLY seen guards/warriors/hunters. cause i scan.... thus i was asking. seems the porters may not be in the game currently but paints are rare and can be crafted in full game. gotchya. thanks everyone for the input

A friend and I recently found a Fang tribe porter and were able to deter them, however it did not unlock the armors.

We found the porter in a barracks and lured him away to deter but alas. Our best guess is that the unlock is only a % chance to happen when you deter a porter, as the text says you "may" unlock it via deterring a porter.

But porters do exist in the game, can confirm.

It could not be working in the demo or it might require recruiting the porter which will be a pain due to already being at the tribe limit.

Same. Tamed a claw porter - no recipe unlock. Possibly broken, or % based like you suggested.

When you are in barbarian barracks u need to go slowly, in every barracks there is crafting area, use mask ability to see barbarian there and u will see some running and working on crafting benches, there u have chance to catch a porter

Found one laborer and one craftsman in the Frint Tribe barracks, but others just Hunters, Guards and Warriors.

They seem to be pretty rare and the laborer I managed to deter was 115 or so in Harvesting, Mining, Logging and Planting, and useless at everything else. Don't really feel like it was worth the effort, given plenty of the combat barbarians get over 90 in most proficiencies.

For early paint, I found tons of paint in the small village that has the salt pits. If you break the urns and barrels there, you get paint just about every time I visit, at least three paints of different colors.

The Barbarian Barracks have crafters that are standing at a crafting station, they normally are holding tools instead of weapons. This is helpful for people that don't have the Q ability yet to be able to tell who are the potential porters. I happened to get a master crafter that I recruited and I was able to unlock the tribal armor that way.

I can confirm that you can get at least the first tier armor recipe from a skilled porter as well.

The tribe paint needed to craft the is most commonly found in the chests next to the tribe leader bosses.

Just got a Master Porter and no unlock, then a Novice right after and got the unlock. Seems like it's entirely random

Is the tribe paints only used for crafting tribe armor? I have a few tribe paints but idk what to do with them. I'm only at 32
