I noticed that iron arrows don't use normal feathers...
What would be a good way to farm for the feathers they use?
Don't tell me that all we can do is to kill those super powerful eagles?!

What feathers do they use? Premium feathers? Do they have alternatives? Maybe the vultures near the volcano area in the southwest would be more appealing to you to farm them. I'm not using bow, so no idea about feather economy, but maybe that tip is what youre looking for.
I havent fought many of them (actually only one to get the galery entry) but iirc they move pretty similar to eagles, but are much easier to hit due to their size. It's basically roll their attack and fire at them, repeat. (I used spear throw.) Or charge hammer heavy attack and hit trade.

Furthermore, i dont know how big the impact of using Iron arrows over bronze arrows is, but as with all nonabundant ressource you might want to consider if them should be spared for heavy encounters only.

Horned eagles and vultures are going to be your best option for premium/horned eagle/ vulture feathers. I use a iron great bow/ copper big arrows with a Hunter that has Rapid Fire Talent and it makes it very easy. Even for the Elite Horned Eagles.

They are not super powerful at all, I will tell you how I kill them with a bone great sword, the bird screams at you and dives, you do blade tornado to the side, rinse and repeat super ez

I found easiest way is to kill Ostrich, they strong but it's easiest target to kill fast.

I was thinking if Parrots maybe produce premium feathers? We can breed Parrots if they give premium feather.

When reaching iron tier, everything exept pendant and ring takes premium component from elite enemies. Not only they spawn only in specific places, but have timers which makes iron gear creation ♥♥♥♥♥♥ and its maintenance ♥♥♥♥.

I believe they need to think all that, all over again.

I completely agree, I can understand about those special gears from main bosses or maybe steel but not iron. Basically iron for iron gear is not the bottleneck at all, but those premium animal parts :( which as u said they come from elite animals and have a cool down, making iron gear production on a busy server very very hard. :( All that in combination with how easily gear breaks, pushes people to join small servers instead of highly populated servers, and even imagine on a pvp server u die and lose that rare gear which took long time to farm for, blah mechanic tbh.

You can find the premium feathers in dungeons. RNG is kinda iffy sometimes, but they do drop from their chests once in a while. Just don't forget a hammer if you do decide to go in.

the desert dungeon in the top right drops loads of premium feathers. if you are farming for adhesive you should end up with a couple of hundred by the time your done.

Another good spot to farm them are ostriches in the wasteland (NE). NW of the teleporter is a ostrich egg camp with 5-6 ostriches. They give ~70 premium feathers and ~60 ostrich feathers. This nets into 650 iron arrows or 130 big iron arrows for one clear.

Iron gear creation isn't that bad. We're only duo and can pretty much run Iron all the time.
With that said Bow class is just unnecessarily grindy. Feathers for iron is a hassle and with good tribesman Archer you'll be ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ out 3-6 arrows per shot it's not even funny how fast you go through ammo every run for something and you'll be forced to farm for feathers unless you spent an ex amount of time farming for it in advance.

Don't get me started with how heavy arrows are, 900 arrows is too little and it eats 80% of your inventory.

Imho bow's only good for pulling or dealing with ranged enemies. One of our teammates was trying to main bow - barely worth it. Abysmal DPS and ressource hungry. If only used for that, the bow can sustain easily (vs tribesmen) as many drop enough ammo.

Yea, i only use bow for initial shot or two and then go in with dual-blade jump attack, so it's kinda not a problem those premium feathers, and i don't give tribesman bow bc he shoots trees and rocks with it more than enemies :D
