Please remove the randomness in obtaining masks from Ancient Ruins
I set a goal to get the remaining 2 masks (at the beginning of the game I chose the Mask of Civilization).

Do you know how many times I had to kill the final boss?
more than 12. And I did this for two days.

This is the second day when I finally got the rest.

As you can see, today there are 3 Masks of Civilization, 5 Masks of Conquest, and only in the last trip did the Mask of Rich finally appear (which was what was needed).
Last time I got 3 masks of civilization, which I already had.

This is fine?
No, this is not normal, IMHO.
For example, so that bosses with different masks can be dealt with in turns.
Or are there few Plunderer leaders?
Or, for example, so that A Mysterious Stone Table can recraft 3 identical starting masks into 1 (also starting) of their choice.

But something needs to be done. Killing the boss a dozen times is not normal.

Ouff that's bad RNG for the mask

This is the only boss who drop starter masks from what I know.

However, you should expect to run areas like Barbarian Barracks, Fotress multiple time and even kill the World boss more than once. Each area and bosses has specifics drops that you may need and there a RNG coefficient in boss drop.

Ex. You may need materials and mods for your gear or to unlock nodes that cannot be found elsewhere.

These are still different things.
It’s one thing when I kill a Saber-toothed Predator and save up loot from it that I’ll need later, and another thing when I waste time on a useless copy of a mask. What can be disassembled into a few green crystals does not count.
The time spent is also incomparable.
And farming the barracks several times didn’t bother me at all. Firstly, you can meet a new artisan to tame. Secondly, only there you can get rare paint and fabric. Those. Each trip is some kind of addition to the available resources.
What's going on here? Red shabby armor? Yes, the whole chest is filled with it.
I for myself had only the first time from this boss the same mask of my startchoice. After that the next two times the other masks. The boss has the mask on him or her and you can see which you will get.

But you are right it shouldnt be RNG... at least not for singleplayers!

I have to agree the value of repeating the attack on those ruins gives less than a barracks or something else. There some useful drop still but less than another place.

12 is excessive. I had to do 4 runs and I used it once or twice to raise the proficiency of my warriors.

At least, it's gives legendary bronze gear and rubber. The workship containers are also always useful.
Tons of rubber and lvl 3 mods
oh forgot you could get lvl 3 mod there but both are kind of useful considering there no other way early game to get it. I thought there was a recipe for rubber but it's seems it's require the distiller from steel age...

Tier 3 mod just cannot be crafted so it's nice to have

ill have to do this because i havent seen a single civilization mask drop.

So that's what I did. But this did not solve the problem of having to kill the boss a dozen times.

And if I had to clear this entire dungeon a dozen times, I would definitely delete the game.
You have the choice then. To kill the boss until you get by waiting him to respawn wit hout to have clear the entire dugeon everytime or delete the game and wait for the full release maybe... its better then.

For me personally, there is no such problem anymore. At least unless I suddenly decide to play on some server, which is unlikely.
I care about future players who might be put off by randomness like this.

Random "dropped/didn't drop" with a 50% chance is acceptable. But the random “you get one thing out of three with a 33% chance” is terrible. This leads to the picture I showed in the screenshot. And this pushes players away.
I started with the civilization mask and I now have 12 of them and none of the other 2 starting masks. Can anyone verify that you can still actually get the other 2 masks that you didn't initially choose? I resorted to just camping the boss, logging off and back on where he spawns to reset him, and killing him over and over and I can't get either of the other two masks that I didn't start with. There's no way it's RNG! It has to be set to mostly drop the mask you already have.
I got the one i had 3x, other 5x one missing i couldn't bother more.
I have another question in this regard. I got my starter Mask from a plunderer boss and it is rank 3. Which seem to be better than my starter mask. Can I switch this mask or is it just the same and total unsusable?
