Vajra is outrageous - DEVS this need some balancing
Solo player at lowest difficulty possible and I can't take more than 50% of his health. I'm way above the recommended level and using iron gear. And before people like the Discord dwellers come with the gitgud mantra, you don't like it, don't bother answering.

King Kong is what? Level 30 awareness, I think you're not supposed to have a companion with 120 weapon proficiency to kill it. Not at the first difficulty and not playing solo on casual.

On a sidenote, I was able to kill it using the tree he climbs as protection. The whole fight was circling around it. It took many tries and it was zero fun.

As much as I think it should be difficult, I don't agree it should be this hard on casual.

Why not? You can get a 120 weapon proficiency tribesman at the starter zone, it has nothing to do with awareness level.

Its difficulty is fine since you killed it as many others already did. Is it a knee jerk reaction as it is your first few times, dying? Remember there's two more tiers to that ape...

Darks souls is the same, you died a LOT. Eventually you git so gud that even starting a new game new character, you can kill that deadly fiend at the beginning naked @ lvl 1.

Monkey can be scary, and has a lot to learn about his fight, notably if you fail to dodge his sekiro red attacks, you will get flattened, if you are any kind of melee I would suggest grabbing the mask "Torch of eternity" and filling it out, gems and repaired nodes give you a LOT of survivability, my archer friendo would get one shot but I could survive 2-3 hits sequentially, it makes that much a difference. Also farming the sabertooth out for bleed 3 mods, fists or fast hitters will proc a good bleed on him to keep damage going.

All his non-red attacks are parryable, that tree he grabs can be parried, don't be afraid to block if you know you won't roll it, otherwise, keep at least 20-30 stamina up to be ready to spend on dodging, never dodge forwards back unless you are real good at timing the iframes.

We play on private server but the dmg rates are default, only adjusted changes we made was xp. So yeah, he can be rough, bringing a tribes person might help but I would suggest just spending a few attempts learning to just dodge his nonsense, also level a bow skill he will go up a tree to heal.

Do get used to staying close to him, his ranged game is brutal and at the end of the day if you are on official acquire the power of friendship. Having more people will absolutely help he doesn't get any stronger for having friendo's around and they can distract while you heal up.

Also absolutely if you havent yet rock your 3 buff foods. Meat (20 regen a second for tier 3 steak) /Fruit & Veg fried pumpkin for double stamina regen rate / staple (various good buffs, I go for potatos for carry weight. Not eating meat at least is leaving a ton of free hp, both in pool and regen on the table.

In Dark Souls you dont need to spend 50-100 hrs to gather, build, craft, lvl. up. stuff before you die multiple time to loose it all.
I think Devs are just tryint to postpone people from finishing the game to early by setting such high difficulty levels. I think in the long run it will hurt them because of this high level difficulty many people will find this game not-repayable and soon it will end up just like Conan, 2ndary survival game with few thousands follower. And this game have potential to be much more then that.

Sure you don't spend a lot of time dying and exploring in dark souls while avoiding other players trying to pkill you. The humanity, tunnel vision too much...

Then you have NOTHING when you start a new game and butt naked. Talking about skill, not survival related stuff. Git gud doesn't appear out of nowhere. I know it's the instant gratification era for gaming for the west, but come on man.

For the ape, 7.5% got the achievement. That meant 22500 or so players did it already based on the previous announcement of 300k game sold.

I find 7.5% to be a low percentage but we are not only talking about tribes, OP made clear that he means Solo players. I will guess, out of that 7.5% will probably be 2% who
are solo players (who did it Solo) ? you think.

I soloed him on normal, as I've said elsewhere. I had the annoying bastard run away from me and reset himself three times when I had him down to half health, THAT was the worst part of the fight.
Other than that, everything he does is easily dodged and he clearly signals when he's about to do something. He has an insane health pool, and I ran out of big arrows in the fight in part because of the annoying resets. But I had some 300 poison arrows and a rapid bow so I turned him into a pin cushion. The fight was stupidly long but not that hard.
But compared to the sabretooth or the frog that I easily killed on the first try without breaking a sweat, he's at least not a pushover. I'd expect him to be pretty easy on casual though.

Currently faffing about and moving base and then I'm on to the next boss. Or maybe grab a few masks.

Sounds like you are doing well, nice to hear it. Yeah the reset is such a ...... such a..... B****.
Once you will get inside of the the Ruin special portal and some NPC will 1 time hit you and there is no way of retrieving your gear (your gear will be GONE). You will understand closer what I'm talking about. Everything you worked for in last 50-100hrs, will be gone with 1 NPCs swing of whatever weapon they will be holding.

This is probably 4th time I read you respond to a post with "Skill issue". Do you have skill issues ?? is that why you keep responding with this this phrase??

You mean troll, and while yes I agree with you.
Your understanding of the 'white knight' definition is erroneous.

“white knighting” refers to a third party jumping in to defend someone in an online argument

Complete opposite than what rogue is doing.
Rogue is directly explaining to you what's actually happening while also, while rudely, explaining to you that you shouldn't believe everything someone tells you about a game unless it's coming directly from the developers themselves. And if that's the case, then post your source.

This is a discussion page on the internet. You're going to get all types of replies. You can't afford to be thin skinned in these scenarios.
hmm... so now you are being a white knight, am I correct ???

point the OP is making is that game is unbalanced and he is right. even Devs agreed and said themselves in one of the Q&A that mid and end game difficulty will be rebalanced. Read Q&A before you try to defend someone who probably didn't do their homework in the first place.

Nope. Not even close.
Do your own homework on terms before misusing them.
Either way your complaints are moot.
Just wait for the fix or have some friends help you take on the challenge.

I mean he did pretty much name himself "Pvt. Hudson"
One of the characters in the alien Franchise that had massive skill issues to start with xD

Yes, especially 2nd half needs to be re-balanced and fix (change) main character non-sense with something solid.
