Comfort level and Pleasant mood rules

It would we great to know what Comfort level's rules are? What building configuration should you have to obtain levels 1, 2, 3, etc.
I am running through my base and get level 2 almost everywhere, but in some places it's level 3. Cannot figure out why.
Also when I put a bed on the place which just shown level 3 and step on it to sleep, the comfort level indication disappear, ambient noises become louder and I cannot get a Pleasant Mood buff from bed. Chairs work perfectly though.

The area is way too small, needs to work in bonfire zone.

You are probably poisoned or irradiated or have a status condition... causing you to instantly wake up.

Think it's:
shelter from rain- lv 1 , don't even need walls
grass mat, chair, bed, bath (furniture)- lv 2
statute or trophy heads (decorations)- lv 3 (once you move out of range it drops to 2)

I'm getting comfort lv 6 at my bonfire. I have all my elite/boss heads mounted near the bonfire, there are beds on the 2nd floor above the bonfire along with a heater and hot tube (it's a little cold in the Wetlands). There are plenty of double chairs to sit in at the bonfire.

I get comfort lvl 6 too but 5 meters from the bonfire it drops right back to 5 and 4.

I sleep well in bed, morale raises to 100 w/o problem. I just don't get a Pleasant mood buff from resting in bed, that's all, though I get it at this place while resting in armchair. The prompt says that I must get Pleasant Mood buff from resting in bed, chair or bath.
Chair works, bed does not work for this buff. Don't have a bath yet to try.

I am well in by bronze bonfire area and the prompt shows that comfort level is 3 at this place of my base. But when I place a bed on this very place and step on it, comfort level disappear as I was in the open air.

Finally got it! Beds play 2 roles:
- in order to recover Morale you have to perform action "Sleep" in the bed;
- but in order to get the "Pleasant mood" buff corresponding to the Comfort lvl. of the bed's spatial situation, you just have to STAND on the bed for some time. Just like you sit on the chair.

You need to max out your morale first, then sleeping/resting/or whatever leisure stuff like taking a bath, will trigger pleasant mood buff.

comfort level 5 is already possible. we have it in both bases. Just make sure the spesimens and statues, bath and war statue are all in a ring around it, with the bed close. Granted we dont get it everywhere in the base, but it is just too big.

You are not sleeping long enough for the buff. From my experience 70 out of 110 moral when I sleep is long enough to get it. You must sleep for as long as you have to sit in a chair to get it.
I did not know about just standing on the bed though.

I'm currently at comfort 8 in my base, what we did was make a dedicated resting room. This is where all our trophies are, the golden Llama and golden corn statue (2 of each), benches, braziers, hanging braziers and mats are. Some furniture stacks multiple times which you can see when you look at it. I never use a bed because tribesmen recover very slowly so I use the bath and cigars and by the time my morale is full I also have the rested buff. It usually takes 30 or so seconds for the buff. Roughly.
