Anyone know what happened?
Left the game yesterday, came in today, all but three of my tribes people are dead. 10 people, gone.

It appears I lost 10 people, armed and armoured to two bush dogs.......

Why are the tribes people so utterly useless at combat? and why dont they help one another when attacked?

Are your people naked? Why are they dying to bushdogs. I have had my base attacked by jaguars and the AI does defend itself. The only casualty I have had to animals is my main body because its just sitting there defenseless.

Please read the OP.

'armed and armoured'.......

All of them had bronze armour and weapons.....which ive also lost.

Like I said, why arent tribes people defending each other.......When I logged on a tribes person was being attacked by the two bush dogs, in front of all the other tribes people.....who sat there and watched.

It makes no sense at all.

Other threads have mentioned that the NPCs are inactive until a player runs past after a server restart, so that might be what happened.

......so, every time that happens I lose everything and have to restart.

Time to play something else.

Were your people on passive? You know, you can adjust their fighting settings..?
You could build a wall so your people are safe when they go outside.

Then again, thinking one step further maybe is asking too much, so… byeeee

What? Where is thinking one step further here when you equip an army of 10 with bronze gear and weapons you expect them to kill a dog? do you? And not sit and watch your base getting destroyed and that army getting eaten alive one by one like brain dead zombies that can't even pull out that weapon in time.

This game is missing simple and basic mechanics for tribesman.

Apparently not. Apparently, a bush dog can kill your entire tribe......and that makes sense.

game is a bit broken, i logged in with a tribe mates person outside my bases perimeter hanging out by a river no way to bring the person back until tribemate gets on and brings their person back. I logged out the night before with said clans person logging inside the perimeter so far away from where they ended up. I have walls all the way around my base and all gates are locked to clansmen. It would be nice to give tribesmates full permissions to your clansmen permanently not just a temporary toggle. Little more to this story, I went down to the river to check on the clansmen and they proceeded to run back to the bonfire that is on top of a mountain above a cave (no idea how they left and got all the way down there in the first place) THEN they decided it would be a good idea to go into said cave with an elite bushdog and several other dogs inside. I fended them all off and they are still alive but I will be sitting down here for the next 4 hours babysitting this thing until said tribesmate gets on, guessing im mining and hunting for now, this whole adventure the clansman hasnt tried defending itself. RIP

Apparently, according to Chibbs....thats your fault.

I dunno, but before I log off I just make sure I've got my wall patrols rested up and have food and water on them while they circle the outer walls and make sure the gates are shut and that nothing is allowed to open them until i log in again. Up to iron and never had any problems yet.

Then when I log in again I open the gates and rest the patrols until I want to leave the area again or log out then send them out on outer wall patrol again and lock the gates again etc.

You're an idiot dude. Clearly you're doing something wrong if the rest of us aren't having issues.

Not necessarily. Bugs don't strike everyone equally and this is a newly released early access title. It's entirely possible that they've run into a bug or AI failing that you or I haven't.

See, you only took the “insult” and did not even comment on my suggestions.
If your people don’t fight back and get eaten alive then they were on passive which is your misdoing.
If you don’t build walls that is your misdoing.
Think before you talk.

To the other guy: yes, sometimes tribesmen take weird paths and even slip out the perimeter but it doesn’t happen regularly and hopefully will be fixed in the ongoing EA phase.
And as Veil has also mentioned, with patrolling guards things also get easier.

You dont understand.

If it doesnt happen to them, then its impossible.
