I am curious like you though, on what others are actually using.
Everything else seems fine.
Oh, and i tweaked building decay and durability consumption/loss on repair for sanity reasons. I also enable the supply portal switch, because else the only reason for these craftable portals is being able to move a base (or more its people), which, honestly, is stupid to begin with, as every sane person builds his base near a static map portal.
You also might enable the popular perfect remodel switch, which makes deaths become close to meaningless and lets you use your first tamed low bob until the endgame. It also denies you of learning that taming higher lvl dudes has a lots of benefits and opens the door to come back here to whine about not having a good character or the lack of diversity, as you never saw a reason to play a different playstile simply because, for some reason which might be this perfect remodel switch, the game doesnt push you into that direction anymore.
