Holy Ruins First Mask???
Am I missing something? My tribe went in and we got the first mask and yada yada, took the items back to the base, set it up and only one.... person gets to unlock the mask??? And it's not a tribe wide unlock?? So a tribe of lets say.. 20 people, they'll have to run that same Holy Ruins 20 times..? What..?

sadly it seems so, same for bosses

is it official servers then yea, you have to run it 20 times.
on the other hand, if private server ask the owner or admin, to set the special items multiply to 3, then atleast 3 people get the mask =D

Gotcha. Man that just seems incredibly lame.. Why not just make the dropped item able to be placed in the table and you click "unlock" since the item is literally right there. Why make a tribe run the SAME... place 20 times? For a capped tribe, that's the same dungeon 50 times..

Like, Dungeons are fun, don't get me wrong, but 50 times of the same thing over and over? Surely there has to be a more tribe friendly way of implementing people unlocking the mask when they were THERE to put in the work to get it only to not get it unlocked because someone pressed T faster.

Does anyone have any thoughts on this or a good way for the devs to implement a much better way for this to happen?

These ruins are a good source of materials and healing items and supplies. So running it multiple times is great for your tribe. And they can be done with 1-3 people, i don't think 1 person clearing a ruin should unlock a mask for a whole tribe personally it should be a right of passage. Now i do agree how ever that if 3 ppl ran it 3 ppl should in fact get it. Perhaps an AOE scan of the chest room to detect 5 players and it drops 5 masks, IMO if you had more then 5 ppl to clear the dungeon you completely tanked any difficulty out of it.

I can't find a setting called special items multiply. Is it called Boss Drop Multiplier maybe?

Thanks for the help.

Yes, I do agree with you on both accounts. It is great items, they are fun to run. Yes, the room should do an AOE scan to see how many players are in the room, that would work perfect actually. I do like that idea.

I agree, bossloot should drop for each individual "in the room".
As of right now I'd say go in teams of 2-3 people, imho playing the same dungeon 2-3 times isn't much of a hassle. I guess we can agree that 50 people (or even 20) is very exaggerated. (who would run a dungeon with 20 ppl?) :D

Haha it is exaggerated for sure, but it was just getting my point across that the boss needs to die 50 times for everyone to unlock their mask vs. a room aoe scan which can solve the issue.

Look when a game like world of warcraft can give every player in the party / raid its own loot, i don't see why this game can't do this "if they want". then again i'm not here to tell the devs what their vision of their game should be. there is ofc nothing wrong in asking for a change.

Which also works for the scouts as I just remembered. Not everyone has to interrogate the scout, it is enough to stand near it while someone else does it. So that could also work for bosses I guess. Let's hope they think about this change. :)

At least you can skip the entire thing and just kill the boss, loot the mask and then leave. You just need a jaguar and know the path.

for the most part its hard to see how this can be a bad thing. you still have to "play" the game in order to unlock things. besides - sometimes those dungeons will have things you cannot typically find via processing, crafting or mining (adhesive or mask mods for example).

Don't forget the arms and energy modules that you need for endgame content.
