Does it grow in wilderness? Or is it only dropped in fortress/Barack?

Found in barracks' farm plots and chests in the level 21~30 zones. Where the frog and ape pyramid are.

I think I got my first drops destroying pots in barracks areas. it's usually how I get all my starter seeds.
