Quick Travel?

Is there no form of Quick Travel?
I haven't found any iron anywhere yet, but it already takes me half an hour to go from my base to undiscovered areas. on a Jaguar mount..

Easy Iron is in "WETLAND" portal plunderer's weird icon on the map NE of portal.

You can run to the hill one on a jaguar, just bring 3 greencrystals so you can port back.

There's some boars and wolves around it.

first iron ingot is from metal plates from destroyed automatas. Ores are later.

If all else fails, use an online interactive soulmask map.

You can process them the exact same time you can process iron ore. They are literally in the same recipe.

But where on earth is coal to power the blast furnace? I have the metal chunks from the Holy Ruins and made the blast furnace but can't power it.

Yep

Not heavy guarded either, that Iron ore spot is with one elite but he can be dragged quite far and shot with bow too.

The first dungeon should have given you enough coal (in chests) to smelt anything you found there.
