I know it's not my machine that's the issue. It's a serious gaming rig that will run most games on Ultra settings without issues (48GB video mem and 96GB regular mem).
Since the hotfix I have experienced tearing running 1080p without vertical sync going (this was not the case prior to the hotfix) and I occasionally lose audio channels, especially during thunderstorms (sometimes the rain itself stops making sounds other times I stop getting the crafting noises but still hear rain). I have been sending reports... each crash is either WS_Win64_Shipping related or one of two nvidia files related. I've researched several solutions and none have worked.
And same as well, I keep sending the reports, wondering if it even will lead to something...
The combat's hard enough as it is with the rubber banding and button delay, and I play with friends that live on the other side of the planet, so I've got high ping which doesn't help.
I've noticed I'm now starting to just avoid doing certain things in game that risks me losing hours of grind. I'm happy dying to my own faults but it's mostly client crashing that ♥♥♥♥♥ me over.
Not sure if you've tried safemode it's helped a tiny bit but it's still bad.
In order: What "Serious" gaming rig has 48GB video mem and 96GB regular mem?
You either run 64 or 128 GB ram, if you don't - you have different memory stick sizes (I assume 2x32 and 2x16) which in itself is an issue.
As for the vram, NVLinking 2 4090s/3090s doesnt magically double their vram, and if you actually use one GPU (W7900 or A6000), this is even further from a gaming rig.
Since you specifically mentioned "two nvidia files" being crash related I highly assume the issue is your rig. If you want help, post the exact specs. I happen to work in IT and have quite a bit of knowledge in this.
I've tried that. I've tried rolling back drivers, reinstalling them, changing administrator status on Steam, the game, the WS_Shipping file, tried compatability mode, tried verifying files, trying reinstalling the game, tried changing page file size, tried DX12 and 11 and Safe Mode, tried reducing settings to minimum, tried turning of DLSS or post-processing effects, tried disabling Steam and Nvidia overlays... all of this crashing started with the latest hotfix (prior to that it was stable) and seems to be keyed to storms. I play fine for a while then crash. When I try to reload I notice it's either raining or thunderstorming when I enter the game. I usually crash fairly quickly afterwards and eventually the crashes corrupt files to the point I have to re-verify installation to avoid crashes in the menu or on the initial producer's splash screen when the game first loads.
Perhaps it is on my end, but it's unlikely considering I play so many other games on Ultra settings and have no crashing issues at all. This PC isn't even 6 months old and is a dedicated gaming rig. The fact it reliably crashes in this game and so many other people seem to be affected tells me it's likely the game that's the issue. It's not even the OS, since people have been crashing using Win 10 and 11. It may be a particular line of code that causes issues with a particular brand of hardware, but that's still THEIR end, not mine. My hardware performs fine on every other piece of software I use.
I am not on the newest GPU drivers, I never do the newest until it's been out for a bit.

Specs per Task Manager is where I got the value of 48GB of Video Mem because the performance section says 48GB of GPU mem available. Right now it's showing 0/48 GB usage because I'm not running anything.
As for why 96GB of memory... it's 4x24GB DDR5 6000MT/s.
Try using dx11 instead and see if that helps. Maybe you just need a new computer?
You guys should really read the logs when you send them in. Its not our rigs that is the problem. Most of the crashes I've had were sound related, if it weren't for those issues the game would be absolutely stable in the sense of graphics and play-ability. (at least for me)
