My first try I got myself curb stomped by a single guy, when I returned again with better gear, skills and levels I still didn't make it very far. A few tries and a bit of grinding later I started making progress, but then I was being too careful and the whole thing respawned with me in it.
So, going back in optimizing for high damage and careful pulling I managed to make it through quickly enough and the boss was a chump after wading through the piles of plunderers. I don't even remember the boss being noteworthy after having killed everything else in there.
Plunderers are silly, and the next time you get to say hello to them is outside of the next dungeon, where they are the hardest thing to fight, including the boss in the dungeon.
But I can pretty reliably kill them now at least.
The way I do it is I use a great bow to head shot them to pull one single guy towards me, and when they come running I throw some corrosive stuff at them, and go to town with either hammer or gauntlets depending on which guy I'm running around with. I can usually melt them fast enough that they only get one or two hits in that way.
And bring bandages, lots of bandages.
If they decide they want a shootout with bows, I try to position myself behind something that will eat at least a few arrows, and exchange shots with them. If fast enough, you can generally headshot them with the great bow to interrupt them when they are drawing their bow.
Ain't that exactly the fun? Realizing hat for once you aren't the gigachad that just slams through the whole content but actually having to adjust, play smart, get experience and overcome the tough scenario?
Honestly I can understand any criticism when balance is very off and I won't denie that it might be the case for these guys (although it is proven that it is very much doable solo on normal diff and people don't even have to play on normal diff).
But after watching the video I cannot take OP serious at all. There are 9 obviously VERY strong guys going ham on you and your NPC and your instincts don't tell you to disengage but go all in, die and then complain about it on the forums?
Sorry buddy, but you really just messed up entirely and weren't even able to aknowledge your own mistake.
Yeah, I enjoy the challenge. I've been playing games since the 80ies, and back then games were proper hard. I generally don't find the soulsbourne-likes to be *that* hard. you just need to figure out how they are meant to be played and usually have a bit of timing...
As for the OPs style of fighting, it's just a matter of running on casual settings. Then you can run into any room and clear it with a few twirls with the great sword. No need for tactics, thought or skill.
has anyone figured out if u can open the door into the Rainforest Pyramid ?? i mean u are below it and up there is a door which cant be openend from the outside (inside the Rainforest Pyramid after u killed the Pantherboss)... there are stairs leading down
A couple of those Doors in the Bosses' pyramids are exit doors from Dungeons or Temples. I have exited to a couple of them... I think one is the rainforests pyramid after completing the Holy Temple. I can't remember the other one.
This really needs some balancing. I got so pissed I went downstairs, binge ate, drank some coffee, respawned in my base, geared up with epics and went back and took revenge and finally got my package but I'm still down two tribesman. So pissed. I spent a lot of time getting them.
Which brings me to the other suggestion. On casual, we should be able to rez all of our tribesman. Casual means easy, easy mode. If I wanted normal I would play normal or hard I would play hard. Unfortunately my real life I am playing hard mode so losing a ton of time is very frustrating.
Yeah it's crazy
+1
Later, you get some crowd control and damage based canisters...
Put the guys you are out running around with in the remodel list, no losing people then. If you're lvl 50, you should have that then.
Also, wat? Dying to lvl 25 plunderers on casual? You can just run into rooms and slaughter them all with the great sword spinning attack without breaking a sweat at that difficulty level.
Yesterday I took a lvl 20 scrub, decked them out in the crappiest bronze I had lying around and went to the first plunderer ruins with lvl 22-25 something. I made it all the way to the boss without dying on normal using a spear instead of blunt weapons. Be careful, take the plunderers one at a time, and run if you pull several to get them to deaggro, and then try again.
And use the canisters they drop on them to hit them harder.
