i like the idea but calling the current implementation a total fail and a sadism spin off doesnt strike me as being likely to be well received.
gear mods only having a temporary effect is a design choice, having a permanent equivalent at like 1/3 efficacy would be a sensible compromise imo.
I "parroted that line" because he made similarly disparaging remarks in another, unrelated thread, where I also explained in more detail why using inflammatory language like this is not the ideal method for leaving feedback.
repair damages the durability too much. and the repair workstation should not damage the durability at all IMO. after 1 or 2 repairs we just trash the items.
I do agree with this. Normally I'm not a fan of reducing difficulty in games, but in this case I just turned decay off entirely. I left feedback for the devs about it being too punishing.
at least we get the option to disable that, but it also feels cheap to do so.
maybe there s an item to restore durability im not aware of but it s just a chore as things stand.
I agree, it's an odd choice. All the more reason to just disable decay and durability, at least until such time as the devs change it (if they do).
But the rest I'm okay with. As a monster hunter player, I'm used to building multiple armors for multiple weapons. There is no, one armor suits all in that game. Especially defensively, if you build an electric resist set for Zingore, that ain't going to do ♥♥♥♥ again Rathalos. Plus, it's honestly not that hard to build what? 4 sets of armor?
FogFrog Set - Heat Proof, Poison Proof....make two sets and slap Heat mods on one and Poison mods on the other
Griffin Set - Radiation Proof, make a set and slap Radiation proof on it (OR don't even make this set and run chill/heat proof and eat mixed jam for radiation proof)
Mammoth Set - Chill Proof, make a set and slap chill proof on it
There is your four sets! Iron ore is a dime a dozen in game, there is even a mine you can exploit in the desert for endless Iron ore. Coal is easy to get too. Meteorite is rough, but even the basic armor that most Barbarians have in the mountain will suffice to get that. Just deter one, steal his armor and dismiss him. Same for the barbarians in the desert.
