What are the mysterious devices used for?

It is a very Important device and part of the game,lets you unlock Masks ,remodel(aka revive) and craft different items you will need later on like Portals ect,I will add that to fully revive a tribe member,you will need the add-on for that device(you can be found later in the game),but for now with that one you can save the data of your most important or good tribe members i believe up to 4 individuals unless that's depending the server settings.

I believe he's referring to the for example "Mysterious Device - Rainforest Pyramid" things. No idea myself. Maybe they are just for dismantling for the crystals.

i have several from farming the sabretooth predator but as of yet nobody in my server or the discord knows

I have the entire map uncovered and beaten the mammoth but have not found some secret 6th boss area.

You need those for the last boss the "Central Core". To complete this and find the central core you need those 5 orbs from the main pyramids, the one like Mysterious Device - Rainforest Pyramid. Then in the Holy Ruin in the snowy region make sure you have them with you and look for one of the circular rooms with an upper and lower level. On the lower level you will find a door with a triangle above it you need to go in there. (I do believe there is more than one circular room so keep going if you don't find it in the first one you come across.). Then just keep going forwards from there its not to confusing from that point on. As for the cold make mammoth gear set.

from each pyramid you will get mysterious device. you have to collect all 5 for kill final boss "core". you can find him frozen area holly ruin. to break his shield you have to use all 5 mysterious devices

my friends and I are at the level to unlock the 6th boss and he is absolutely correct, you need 1 device from each of the previous bosses to unlock each device that powers the shield protecting the final boss
