Right that's what we were doing in the Demo... but it was supposed to be 150 cap for all the main character's skills in the EA version... why even bother with the main character? Just switch to the Vagabond you get as soon as you get her and unlock Control right?
How is that related? I mean seriously, that seems like a really simple/cheap excuse. It's the MAIN character, they should be the exception AND your primary focus.
What, if there was a Hardcore mode with Permadeath, then the higher cap would be fine? The MAIN character is always the most OP with the most potential in pretty much every game. This isn't even CLOSE to being decent. Fine, don't allow 150 because they're "immortal" but 50 is so low and gimped that it's frustrating and it really needs to be re-evaluated
Thats the whole point of the game, the main Character is the Mask, your gimped starter Char is wearing. He was about to be sacrificed and found the mask by chance.
there is a reason you have Body XP and Awareness XP.
While the devs stated that the design idea was that you use more of your specialized tribesmen later on, but given the answers in the Q&A 3, they have got the message, that people are unhappy with the fact that the main char becomes more and more useless.
They should have placed this node on all bosses and released a quantity for each boss eliminated, placing a node that only releases 10 on the second boss doesn't make any sense and leaves your main character practically useless until you release this node, currently I'm playing more with my minions than with my main character since he is very limited compared to the first minion that appeared when I created the first bonfire, so far this formula that the developers want to rotate between tribe members is not working right, because I think that every game where you create a character or have a specific protagonist, he is the OP, he is different and I believe he is better than the NPCs, it doesn't make any sense for the main character to be so nerfed compared to the other members of the tribe.
Yeah, that’s the ticket. NOT.
I have not even seen my first boss yet, but my body level has capped out at 40. Mind still grows at 30, but most of my weapon and work proficiency has finished growing at 50.
Losing the growth factor already so early in the game means that I am not sure if I will be able to stay motivated to play the game.
I am not sure if I will be able to maintain my motivation to play the game.
The main character is important to me. I don't want to be possessed by a stranger. Unless the main character is given room to grow, I cannot change my rating of the game to "good".
The goal is to get a Strong Mask and a Tribe around it, not the development of the starting character. The difficult is that the starting Character is immortal and the others not.
For me, the Game changed as soon as I had access to the Mysterious Stone Table. I searched for the right Tribe member of the highest Level I had access to and started playing with them.
Currently, I control a guy that has a healing as Class Skill and a companion that is set on defense behavior with shield and spear/blade. They are lower level than my starting Character, but with the higher Skills and Stats the content is much easier than before, and with the Table I can resurrect them.
I plan to replace them with higher Level Chars regularly, so that the loss on death is reduced.
My advice, don't play the Char, play the Mask :-)
