How far can your Tribesmen go to work?
I have a site 140 meters from the bonfire and the game is saying that it is too far from tribesmen to work,

Doesn't seem right.

Why are you trying to send them so far? The bonfire range is only 50m.
like 100m, unless you set up outposts and have guys running between them for pickup/delivery but thats a whole other hassle
Honestly the work range is too short. I have one tribesmen that wont work past 30 meters. Doesnt seem to matter that the Bonfire radius is 50m.
This is what i have found, may be an old post but found this before i found this info on it:

In Soulmask, the maximum distance your tribe members will travel from your bonfire for gathering or other tasks is 100 meters. This limit applies even if you set up gather markers further away, and your tribe members will not perform tasks at locations beyond this range.

Elaboration:
100-Meter Radius:
Tribe members will only work within a 100-meter radius of your bonfire.

Gathering Limitations:
If you set up a gather marker or workflow further than 100 meters, your tribe members will not perform the task.

Bonfire as Center:
The bonfire acts as the central point for all tribe member activities, and their movement and actions are constrained by its proximity.

Work Area:
The work area for tribe members is defined by the 100-meter radius around the bonfire, and tools must be within this range for them to be used.

Moving Resources:
This limitation also affects the movement of resources between points further than 100 meters apart.

What I have found is you can daisy chain bond fires to extend your area.
They will work in a radius of 30m from the point that you assign them to gather/work at. That assign point can be up to 100m away from them when the work is assigned (you can be out at a pit and set a gather point on it for a tribesman so it is not limited to where the bonfire is) If they are working more than 100m from a bonfire they are at risk of being kidnapped.
You setup Map Markers all around your base in all directions for them to work at, within reasonable distance. I usually have about 8-10 markers in a circle

Besides boring machine enemies in dungeons & poor map design this is probably my only gripe about the game after 4 play throughs.

They should just work within bonfire range automatically and let the "player" set the distance max, risk & reward. Or disable max range entirely if the player REALLY wants to risk it.

It also makes these new power mines completely useless. I'm not setting up a bonfire base area just for something that collects materials slower than a snail. Just to watch it eventually be raided? lmfao nope

Using map markers for their work range is annoying.

------

Devs need to look at how Bellwright sets up up their worker ranges & secondary bases/outposts. That works, this does not.

Bellwright adjusts working distance by the building itself, not some stupid "bonfire" type building, also allows player to set a max distance, which is absurdly huge.
This is very disappointing to learn. 100m is such a small area that there is really no way to gather what is needed for upgrading your base and equipment of you and your raiding party, without doing a large portion of the gathering yourself.

Hopefully the devs change this...and if not...fingers crossed for mods :derp:
