If you mean Llamas as in Llamas and not Llamas as in Alpacas then yes you can craft a wicker basket attachment for the llama saddle which carries up to 4 captured cubs/babies.

Yep of course :) I see that's what those baskets are, I thought they were just there to carry more weight, great thanks

I have the baskets in my alpaca inventory. I don't see how you use them to carry a baby.

How does this work?

all captured babies can be placed in a wicker basket attachment on the llamas

Yes, I've read that, but how do I attach the basket?

Just to be clear it's Llamas, not Alpacas. Which are caught around the west teleporter.
They have a secondary slot

First you get a Llama, not an alpaca.

Ah, I just thought that was a typo in the game, didn't know there were actual llamas in the game.

As your animals wont be targeted by anything, you can alternatively let it grow on capture spot. I build a roofed campfire nearby, put a saddle, 2 stacks meat and a water bottle into the cub and respawn-teleport there with my initial character once i think the cub got adult and ride it home. Would love to use the Llama if it werent so extremely slow.

I did eventually figure out you can deploy that little guy and he will follow you. Just like anything deployed, it will teleport, so you can go as fast as possible back on an adult alpaca and the little guy will follow. It might be a bit buggy how it works, but got that to work at least twice.

I never really noticed that they are not targeted. They can get damaged when things attack you while riding or nearby, but yes, good point. I guess the animals are not targeted. I keep expecting this game to follow similar logic to other games, but once again, it does not.

Yea but deploying it makes your current mount undeployed? i.e. you still have to walk home, though with your tip, one can at least sprint.
Ye they never get targeted. I put my mounts behavior to ignore damage and not run away out of call-range all time they got a single stray hit. My huge red Panther (yes, red AND black jackpot) has 5k hp - i love to use him as a mobile arrow wall to savely bandage myself.
Wish we had a come-here command for the mounts instead of the current come-here-and-follow. I want to have him with me, but not running into me the whole time.

Ya, this is one of the many reasons I'm taking a break and going back to Palworld for a few months. I might be back after I get bored with Palworld again. Hard to say.
