That can mess up enemy respawns and probably other things too, an actual pause feature would be welcome.
Unless you mean the original series, BG3 is not paused when in menus either. But it's a turn-based game without passing of time.
but
Don't take my word for it, let's send a bunch of requests in to take up the developers time to give us one less button press functional pause. Just in case it makes the sky fall or rocks turn into monsters.
Well, good on you. But the last time I tried exiting to main menu for a pause (this was before the latest hotfix, mind) it made the whole barracks respawn. Perhaps that's not an issue anymore, but there's no real reason the game shouldn't have a regular pause feature, to eliminate fringe cases from causing trouble.
It's all the same to me though, because I can generally afford an hour or two it takes to complete a non-stop excursion. But not everyone can.
Or the Devs could just add the feature and not force us to watch a loading screen when we want to "unpause" the game. It is a basic QoL feature that belongs in every single player game that is trivial to code.
Yes, because asking for a basic feature is 'complaining about everything' (sarcasm). Ironically, YOU are one complaining. We are making a feature request, you are complaining about 'those dang kids'.
For example, i loot a big camp and the postman knocking at my door, i press ESC anhd go to the door to speek with the postman (10 min.), but game is not in pause.
Very bad situation
Yes, we are not idiots, we have all had to use the Go to Menu instead of an actual pause button. I use it when I want stuff to respawn quickly, for instance a Scout so I get a 2nd chance to interrogate them if I just killed them.
Ya, not a pause button. We need Esc to Pause the game.
BTW, if you don't like what people are requesting, if you disagree and comment, that will just get more people to agree with the suggestion. Your opinion isn't all as important as you might think it is.
