The hunting gallery says its non-domesticable, however i captured 2 of them and they got tamed, is it a bug or feature? lol.

Is that normal or a bug?

It's the same effect as fish trap as you pick it up and drop it down... Kinda like how you trap turkey and capybara, you pick captured animal and put them down, they become "tame"/cyan highlights and won't run away but is now a target for aggressive npc or animals.

I think domesticable animal is llama, alpaca, etc. Basically able to become mounts.

Alright, domesticable = mount, i will ignore the piranhas that became tame, just thought it was weird.

Actually they ARE tameable/domesticable!

In your bronze progress you have got the "Premium Breeding" - second thing in there is the "Piranha Pool" - Catch'em in trap, put male and female in the pool - and there you go, piranha breeding for fish meat!

Yeah, i wasn't that far ahead tech-wise, thought it was a bug since i picked it up to butcher it in land and it flew right back to the water and it was "tamed".

Does this mean there is a possibility of having piranha filled moats, possibly using a mod?

Yeah what's the point of a tamed piranha?
I currently moved tamed piranha from their lake to a lake beside my base lol. Was wondering if they would eat the capybara that swim there. But I put some
Meat in their inventory just in case

Lol, it's literally like the old movie. I bet they just stop attacking, period, when you tame them. Cool, never thought about this.
