using traps

Hey,

can someone explain me please how to best use the traps? I want to get hands on some turkeys, but simply placing a trap anywhere in the wild and waiting for it to capture anything doesn't seem to work.

Allright, got it. FInd a place where the beast you want to capture is located. place the trap close by while sneaking and then hide in sight range and wait.

Also make sure the adults are gone or they will eat your bait and activate your trap without being trapped.

This had adult turkeys eat my bait had to shoot them with a bow

set up traps near Turkey nests (the ones with the eggs in it) voilá
