Enhancing the Main Character Idea/Suggestion
My issue is that the "main player made character" is useless after a certain point. They are unable to be given any work orders or jobs. If the idea is to abandon him for a better body then it should follow through with this 100% new body is now my mask "leader" and is resurrected from the bonfires old is lost to history.

That or incorporate a tribal sacrifice mechanic where you can sacrifice a tribesman to your mask dude to improve him 1 proficiency point per 10/15 that the sacrificed had in a SINGLE proficiency skill. As well as a tribesman Sacrifice for just the talent or class skill. Make doing so cause -250 mood to all tribe and minus recognition of 400 making them likely to rebel and leave if you do it too quickly.

To make it so you don't just farm weak units quickly and sacrifice willy nilly. To increase the main characters stats requires the sacrificed to be GREATER than the main character in proficiency already not just in cap.

This is currently how the game is designed atm. The starting character is simply the host, not a badass powerhouse sadly. Sometimes it feels more like a colony game, where you're not really the protagonist, just someone playing god.

As for ideas, increasing the cap a bit more (Not Max) on combat wouldn't hurt. Giving the starter character more abilities only they can do. More things to make them not redundant.

I kinda understand if it was a balance issue why strong characters lose stats on death to stop you from just getting one early game and rushing a load of guys with half stats for the rest of day 1. But i dont know why it had to come with a re-grind and couldn't have been like a resurrection sickness that wears off over time so you can at least focus on other tribesmen while they recover.

Comes off less like a balance mechanic and more of an excuse to add grind to pad out gameplay time, even at the expense of fun.

Love this idea, I've been saying this for a while now. Leave the option to control other bodies but give us this option to improve main character.
