since some settings are changed i guess todays a good day to make it not sooo easy. its a tough balance though. i dont want it to be to grindy but atm i hit 1 tree and im pretty much good for the entire game ntm the trees already back so i guess i will have to dial that back. every mobs 1 shot so i cant recruit anyone so thats another 1 to adjust.
anyways so far i do like the game alot solo. noone to wreck my work or pillar the entire map so i cant build like another game i wont name. i can build new bases anywhere without worry that im ruining anyones fun
edit to say: after reading some posts, you do go to advanced settings right???? mobs do 0 damage to me atm and i 1 shot everything. i dont think your messing with advanced settings if your having problems with mobs. i havent found a boss to smash yet though so i guess i will see if they are also 1 shot
100% Skill issue, learn the attack patterns lol the AI only has the same attacks YOU would have if you were wielding those weapons. If they have a spear WAIT for them to throw it before you attack. If they have dual blades, bait out the dash attack or spinning wheel before you go in for damage. Yikes. Saying the game is not for solo players because YOU fail to learn the moves is super cringe. Then again thats half of the steam forums. Nevermind, you belong on here.
Imagine the whining this guy will do when he encounters the Anaconda LOL!!!
You can destroy the signal fires by attacking them with whatever weapon you are using. I usually use my dual blades. It will take about three to five attacks and then it will sort of explode.
It's an autistic game for autistic people. I love it.
ur just bad at the game.
ur solo. CHANGE THE SETTINGS!!! u clearly cant manage on default solo settings. u some how figured out how to upgrade ur mask and get gear but u didnt figure out how to bring tribemates/ai with u? what is "best"? u can get into beast gear in single digit hours of playing. red beast gear will be enough for anything but plunderers in the rainforest. u can easily get bronze gear though before doing any serious content. bronze weapons will allow u to kill things much much faster and bronze armor will allow u to take alot more hits. are u eating food? u know u can eat/use each type right? so a beverage? meat? staple? veggie and fruit? recreational? have u farmed up or MADE bandages or instant healing like aloe juice or aloe essence? blood cream can also be made around 25. i mean the devs walk ppl through the difference of using a char leveled for combat and prepared with proper gear and consumables vs just winging it. if u want to wing it, turn all combat settings to min and others to max. then u can wonder around like in la la land. ur post is misinformation at best and at worst its manipulation. u literally have all the power u want in the solo edition
or anything beyond the rainforest... lol ♥♥♥♥♥ RUFFFFF
You can parry him like any mob, and if that fails you can always put any prop between you and him and peek him with a bow.
Like every other game ? Like Valheim which has like two settings ? :D
Jokes aside its good to know this game has settings like that.
This game is currently balanced around squad gameplay and a "tribe" of players attacking the stuff.
For this reason there are sliders you can use to adjust the multipliers of your damage to enemies, and damage enemies deal to you. Find your happy medium. For me, I multiplied the damage I do by 3x to simulate 3 people attacking the enemy. Then I halfed the damage they do to me, because I don't have anyone to take aggro off me to be able to heal up, and instead have to hope for an opening to heal, as well as the distribution of damage going to multiple people instead of just one.
With these sliders, at 2.5x damage dealt and 0.5x damage taken, the game feels much better for a solo player.
