Why does the tamed jaguar doesnt attack ?

I JUST tamed my first one and came here to check the same thing. It's SLIGHTLY faster than the alpaca but carries less... Not sure if it's even worth the trouble.

They dont attack, mounts are for travel only .
The jaguar is almost 50% faster than the alpaca, when you are exploring tbe map and going 1500m+ everywhere. Its quite the help.

Panther is twice as fast and higher jump ability vs your early game Alpaca and Llama. Panther has default mount fall damage reduction, nothing like the Ostrich with it's 90% fall dmg reduction. Snow Leopard > Panther later game.

Thank you for your replies. I just thought having a tamed jaguar with the capability to attack enemies would be cool because of their high damage output. Jaguars can attack me, but my tamed jaguar is just for travel.  hahahahaha facepalm

My issue that I want feel myself playing some real jungle hunter with tamed panther, wolf or at least that tiny bush dog. But seeing my tamed panther running away in panic from boars is kinda immersion killing WTH moment for me :S

Hahahaha, the same feels. I was so happy to get my first jaguar, but then, in my first fight with him, he just ran away from every enemy, even with a bush dog. I think they should add a capability to attack in behavior settings. Im seeing a damage status in their information tho

If you want tames like that go play Ark and stop whining about Soul Mask. If you don't like the game than go play something else already. Tired of hearing you.

Yes, tamed pets should get the option to either be ridden like a mount or accompany and help in battle.
