Any way to restore a Local Save
Looks like something happened with my Steam cloud save and all my progress from yesterday on my local game is gone. Is there a local save directory that I'm not seeing? I checked both the Windows App Data folder and the folder from steam's browse files

I never use cloud saves for this exact reason, have had thing mess up one time too many, where as with local save I can backup/restore with little hassle beyond finding where the game save stuff.

Do a search on your install drive for world.db
That is your save file
It should be in:

C:\Users\Yourname\AppData\Local\WS\LongStringOfNumbers\AutoGames\AnotherLongStringOfNumbers

You will also want the GameXishu.json file. That is your game configuration
You can also move these to a dedicated server.

The one thing I hate is that the game doesn't appear to save incremental versions of your world.db. Which means if your game gets corrupted, you are SOL. If you have a NAS or some application like Duplicati, you can set it up to create incremental saves.

I had the same issue after a game crash while loading a save. Restoring both files did not work for me. What did was starting a new game then copying the world.db from the old save to overwrite the .db for the new save. I believe the issue causing my save to not show up was something getting corrupted in the .json since restoring both files would cause new saves to disappear as well. I also saw it created multiple .json files for the new save vs. having only one in the old save. Just the world.db file restored my game to the state I had left it.

The save file is a world.db (database file) and there are no copies.

Unless if your using a batch file to make backup copies of the database, there is no 'past version. Just the 'live' database.

Glad you were saved. Please stop using all "cloud" nonsense. You can turn "Cloud" BS OFF in Steam Settings. If you "Trust"......Anything.......look it up on YouTube before you go Blindly jumping off a cliff. ;) The "cloud" is just servers looking at Everything you do. Just like "Windows" isn't an Operating System anymore....it is a "service". :( Same principal I am afraid mate. :(Google it, lol. ;) Just sayin', ;)

Cough.......AI.......Cough. Whoops. :( FIRST thing they DIDN"T wanna do........put ANY AI on the internet. What did they do? Yup, PUT IT ON THE INTERNET. We go bye-bye as soon as AI figures out how to use us before getting rid of us, lol. ;( Gulp. For reals. :(
