Parrot Needs Water

Does anyone know how to put water into the water dish my parrot keeps saying he's thirsty. I was able to put food in the stand, but even if I have the water jug in my hand I'm not able to place water into the water bowl. I have the breeding structure and I have a worker assigned but he is not adding water to it either.

There is a water trough on the side of the parrot stand you need to have a water jug equipped then use it like you would to water the farmbeds it should go from 0/500 water to 499/500

Just make sure that you see the water trough text description when you activate the jug - it is right next to the food one.

Thank you both for your replies, I was holding the water jug and my mouse was over the water bowl, but I was only right clicking, left click was the answer. Thanks =-)
