Is it just me or weapon/tool durability is garbage?

Right now durability of weapons and tools feel like those mobile survival games where the durability of all your stuff melts like butter just to entice you to buy gear directly.
I would understand low durability with wood and stone gear which you can repair on the go, but this gets worse when going to bone gear and up where you need stations to perform repairs. What am i supposed to do ? Carry a whole repair station and materials or 10 replacement weapons up my bumhole while i go out exploring for a long time?
I barely reach bronze age(so to speak) so i hope i am wrong in this regard, and the higher you go the more durability weapons have. i fought like 4 boars, 3 people, 5 dogs, 2 jaguars and my spear went from 100 to 10 and i barely went like 300m away from base and now i got to run back to repair.
Just seems silly.

Durability is and always has been ass in every game it exists in, turn that ♥♥♥♥ off.
ALSO, if you did not know repairing weapons and armor lowers maximum durability a LOT every time you do it. So it only gets worse and worse. Better to save mats and make new stuff more often.

Huh, you are right, i did not actually notice that the max durability goes down the more you repair, well thats just complete ass , this is exactly like the mobile games then, i bet they took inspiration from that.

Turn it down or off in settings if it bothers you that much. The game gives you options if you take time to read and look at the settings.

I think if you repair in a work bench you dont take the durability hit

Later tiers can only be repaired at repair bench and they all lose durability.

If u have old weapons before patch, junk them. after update, dura has increased to a good amount
