I took my best fighter with me.
We wiped out the whole village except for the priest and priestess!
The priestess then killed my fighter.
I almost defeated both of them, but they heal really quickly.
You don't stand a chance!
Then all the previously dead, very healthy, fell from the sky and I just managed to get out of the village.
I don't think that's for single players!
Fighting bigger mobs requires back and forth and even using terrain to run around kiting while I heal bandage up to finally take them down.
One issue for me is the 50 rank cap for PC. That to me does not make sense. Tribesman can max at 150 why not the PC? Makes it so you almost have to use Tribesman mid/late game and run the risk of loosing them permanently to death. Really sux with the cap of 16 villagers.
You pretty much have to grind out skill ranks and focus your Tribesman into areas of expertise with several "Legendary" fighters solely dedicated to combat to be able to survive long term Solo.
At 0001 on the game clock, dungeons and barracks reset and all enemies respawn. Need to keep an eye on the time.
That + about a 30 min respawn timer. I was in middle of trying to solo a Boss Villager at a POI when the minions started falling out of the sky (respawning). Suxed hard. I had him down to 50% and was looking forward to taking him for my own. Had to hightail it out of there fast. PS reason that happen is he killed me first time I ran back got my stuff, healed up and started the fight with him again, by than the respawn timer hit.
Essentially you have to plan bigger fights. Take a bit of time, building yourself a respawn point nearby so you can run back quick if you die. Otherwise trekking back and forth long distances will surely result in you returning to a fully respawned camp. That is bad when fighting the large camps and you die in the middle of it. No way to get your stuff back at that point.

LOL, yes my first encounter with an alligator was frightening and ... deadly. Having said that once I cleaned myself up (changed my pants) and went back downing them was far easier than say a Jaguar.
It's terribly annoying running around.
I've been merrily killing pairs of lvl 20 bush dogs with no problem.
Then encountered a single lvl 15 one which proceeded to absolutely destroy me twice.
I just hope they made sure the game is possible for singleplayer.
About the difficulty levels i agree.
I agree and it's even more rewarding in open PvP looking over your back.
