Solo play is too time-consuming.
Most of the time I'm literally alt tabbed and doing other stuff while waiting for the crafting to finish. I understand you're supposed to enslave people and assign work for them, but even managing them is too time consuming.

Arbitrary amount of resources needed to craft something.
- Stone tools are made with 3 stones and 1 branch? Realism aside, I don't think anybody cares about that.
- Arrows are made from 5 branches.

To save read time I'll just stick to these two.
Every swipe gives you arbitrary number of resources, vines, leafs, what not. Am I the only one who think's this game is full of clutter? We can probably divide by 3, all resources, for crafting, the amount you gather, etc, and it will be more manageable.

I constantly find myself needing to split items between me and my chests so I'm carrying too much, and a lot of times I find myself having put the item in the chest, try to craft something, and forget that I actually have that item in the chest.
- A notification where your resources are stored would go a long way. Then you can just pick em up, and craft.

I'm typing this while I'm crafting Aloe juice. My character has been occupied for over 15 minutes. Are we playing the game, or we're doing a waiting simulator. My other slaves are already assigned.

As a solo player I can only say, finally a game with a lot to do!

If that's too much for you, make your own game and set everything to easy and faster that you have tomorrow the geme mastered..

I agree that it could be tweaked a little bit, but keep in mind that the game is in early access and is still being worked on - in fact this morning's update was filled with player-suggested fixes and changes. A better way to approach this would be to make a suggestion through the official channels.

staring usually isn't that easy, but once I got a first hut with a bruch of chests and an affinity assigned to each of them, the item clutter has been vastly reduced.

The game is also designed on making use of your tribesmen. So in stead of sitting 15 min there and waiting for the aloe juice to be finished, you could also assign a tribesmen to do this or invest the same 15 minutes in hunting one for this job, so that you don't have to do this yourself anymore.

And last but not least, there are server settings for pretty much everything. So either look for a server with increased rates or if you play selfhosted, adjust the numbers as you need them. Nobody forces you to play on a official server with vanilla settings.

Yeah I understand. I'm not here whining for changes, just want to see other people's perspective on it.

When you create a new game just go into advanced options and you can set resource amounts, crafting speeds and pretty much tweek anything in the game to your liking. You can make it a super easy relaxed game with no raids and mobs that hardly hurt you or you can make it super hardcore with raids and mobs that 1 shot you.

This game has more tweeks than any other game of this type that I have played.

It can be tweaked later in custom difficulty when loading the server.

OK I had not tried that but that just makes the ability to create the game of your choice even easier then. No idea what the op is upset over with all of the added options they gave us.

Resources and resource needs are fine how they are, if it were easy it wouldn't be worth playing. Chests can be designated for every specific item. Maybe actually try learning about the game before speaking about things you have no understanding of?

If you take a look at the Q&A they posted today, they encourage solo/coop players to adjust the numbers towards their liking.

u can change the settings to 0 duarbility loss i do 50 percent and 50 percent repair mats as well. turn hydro and food consuption to .5 rest styas the same

u dont want to dumb down the game too much or it wil get boren.
I play solo on my own private server. Make the proper adjustments to the settings and the grind is alleviated quite heavily.
I play solo and when i play a solo survival with a customizable setting menu i always godmode it as much as possible. Even with the settings set to baby diaper mode i still have constant things to do. if i had one thing to complain about it would be the optional crafting items still being a hard req for some items. Why make it optional if you HAVE to use the items anyways.
