Fish Trap. Is there more than 1 fish?

I've only been using insects so far and only been getting catfish? is there different types of bait i can use for different fish and if so what bait?

How did u even get it to work? I put locusts inside and i don't catch anything o.o If that's not an insect, how did u get them?

I just put like 150 locusts in then it would consume 1 when a fish spawned. I noticed I hadn't had any fish in ages so i placed 3 more traps and all 3 are full within minutes but the other one has caught nothing. Tried moving it to see if it starts catching fish again

Thanks, i either need more traps then, or move it again (too close to my base maybe).

Update on the one I moved. I moved it a tiny bit and its spawning fish again. Must have bugged out or something

I caught a koi but couldn't do anything but kill it lol. What about you guys?

What?! I thought there were only piranhas! I put a fish trap in the jungle and put meat it in. Every time I check it now I have like half a dozen piranhas stacked up.

Oooh my traps are on the beach. It must be different fish depending on the water source the trap is placed in

I put mine in a lake/shore. I think some rivers would work too if it's deep enough. Essentially if you can see the piranhas in the water, which you can if they're there 'cause they try to eat you, you should be able to catch them.

So apparently there's koi, piranhas, cat fish. I've heard somewhere about eels but I don't know. But yeah, apparently there's more than 1 type of fish!
