How to Farm?

I've not reached a tutorial stage(if there is one) on how to run a farm.

I need cotton, and was able to find cotton seeds, so I need this farm up and running ASAP! But have no idea how?! Lol

build farmland. plant seeds. add compost. water. let them grow. harvest. rinse and repeat.

fertiliser barrel is where you make compost. get a well or water collector for water collection
